They should make a map with minimal amount of buildings and use a natural terrain battlefield. Aswell as having bunkers, craters, trenches, etc. it seems the maps provided go as followed: stairs then crates then flat area then some more stairs, crates, flat area, objective, etc. Not trying to hate but just expressing my tough love since I'm passionate about warhammer 40k. Oh yeah more blood too. But I'm sure they won't forget that.
I hope we will have maps with different constructions and not just copies everywhere. For in the end it's not terrible... - From bases already in ruins also. - Beautiful and great constructions. - Bunkers, trenches etc. More diversity
Not gonna lie...i want swamps. Alternatively, cityscape. Alternatively, underground. Much as I like fighting over facilities and all the facitilies are so far....I want me swamp. I want to be an ork kommando who just emerges from the brush and whispers "What are ye doin' in me swamp" while slowly pushing my pointy choppa into someones kidneys.
Siege map would be nice.. and I don't mean that weak excuse of a siege map that already exists. I mean one that you can level to the ground if you drop enough shells on the bastard and bury any fool who was inside when it came down. One that has proper defenses that make you have to pound sections down to be able to successfully attack, automated guns that target from medium distance to make you plan an assault properly, defensive ordinance that can be used to engage attacking forces at range, minefields, razorwire, and killing fields set up inside the walls for once broken. Basically give us a siege map that is a proper siege with all the correct tools from universe for such a thing.
Ideally: I think they will have those 120+ "locations" where its different variations of the same building assets, like Torias Refinery has the same building structures from the older 3 maps but its just put in different configurations. Realistically: It'll be the same maps with slight differences, like no stairs in X area or more/less rocks here and there on the same map. Maybe add rain, snow or some extra hills here and there while keeping the general layout the same.
But what's the difference? The game will be still developing and expanding after release, so the only real problem is to when count the game "released" for outsiders, in other words, how many cash money devs will be able to get by releasing the game this year. Regardless of this, we will have only what will be ready. Either the game releases and then expands with new maps or it develops longer, and new maps still come out after nearly the same exact amount of time.
well global agenda died lol, but i like 40k and warhammer in general so i want it to work as im sure all those founders do too. one thing i have noticed is that the community for games like this one based on games workshop stuff are much better. thats why i thought if development took longer but had a steadier release with most of their content goals were met prior to release it would be better for them long term, if they cut corners it might be popular for a month or two and die
I dunno what you're talking about. Shanktoof the Kommando just lives in his swamp with his pet gretching Dunki.
