I sure as hell don't want a small group of people at the top doling out rewards as they see fit and want constant ass kissing. What if they never give you missions or just give all the best stuff to their friends? What if they just give you crap missions like defend this base and never get any action or experience? How long until entire clans of people say enough and civil war breaks out in factions?
I'd like to see full customization of armour, weapons and skills. Character skill progression based on experience in battle and faction progression based on your capture/defend experience. If players have any power over any other players it should be within their own clan or whatever they are gonna call it.
I agree with you. All hell break loose in the factions and i fear it will hinder the gameplay in the end.
I hope customization is gonna be a big part. there are A LOT of different armor parts in warhammer 40.k. I really wanna make my space marine/eldar/ork/chaos space marine unique. I wanna be able to choose like, what kind of shoulder pads i want for my space marine, how many decapitated heads are on my Orks spikes, horns or warrior tail for chaos, different helmets for eldar etc. There is a a lot of customization you can implement. I hope they can implement it in the game
Good gameplay would be preferable. Some minor enhancements such as (sticking stick space marines) unlocking additional service studs or more iconic bolter designs for the chapters involved would be nice. Just the bare minimum would be good for launch even with the opportunities available, though this is just speaking personally of course.
Good customization gets people to download the game and look at it for a week or two. Good gameplay gets people to pay 14.99 a month for the next five to ten years. Gameplay. Gameplay. Gameplay. I'm sorry, I almost forgot. Gameplay. If done correctly, the studio will have months and years to work on making the game as beautiful and customizable as is possible. If done incorrectly, a few flashy patches will only be a Band-Aid on a hemorrhage when the EC studio is shut down for not being profitable in the long term. Gameplay.
I find myself agreeing with this, there are so many different customization options available for the models in the tabletop, having just half of them would allow people to really flesh out their characters how they want.
What i would find really cool is that lets say you play a space marine the Squad number or symbol, which is usually on the shoulderpad or kneepad, would change depending on in which squad you are. For example you join Squad number 3, the 3 would be displayed on your kneepad etc. Just would add a little more immersion. And im all about that
While I find the idea of power struggles within a faction intriguing, especially for Orks and Chaos, I probably think the "War Council" will have to be reasonably fair or they will find themselves voted out or ignored fairly quickly. I'm quite looking forward to see what the system will be as I didn't particularly like the Vanarch voting system in Tera online. Vote trading between guilds, buying votes, multiple accounts so multiple votes with F2P, the list goes on.
