A buffed tactical can easily kill a DA. That's the idea behind being buffed. Being stronger and able to kill someone who isn't. I'm guessing your 295 EHP without toughness is a mistake in your math since the highest it can go without armour is 285. Way better. Each starswarm shot did 200 damage.
You cant say Eldar out perform marines, but only when Eldar are buffed and marines not. That's total bull. Yes it's true but unlikely to happen in a game both are commonly buffed and in those situations marines win. When one is buffed and the other not I always expect the buff to win. But you either compare neither buffed or both buffed and marines win in both.
@Slird actually DA vs Shoota boy if DA does only Headshots and Shoota only bodyshots , the DA wins because of a lower TTK of 0.05sec LOL Edit : the shuriken catapult is really bad compared to the other races equivalent ... like why do we do half the damage of the bolter at half range and they still can take more ammo than us ? wtf?? and about you default loadout without any kind of armor on it ... 255ehp ? where ? DA has 150hp and 75armor it's 225 ehp compared to the 300 of a fresh marine so even with a full tank build we get 299 ehp with 120toughness and actually @Yvelfir without the armor the best you can achieve is 279ehp (with resilient spirit stone+trinkets)
I'm already told - Eldar have one more buff then any other side. Spoiler I don't mean it is w/o armor. I mean w/o toughness. This weapon have terrible mechanics in swarm mode. I only hope they will fix this. Compare Big shoota vs TL ASC and you will be surprised. ASC still better thab Shoota. TTK is not weapon stat. ASC does more damage than boltgun even on 100m range. Boltgun: 28*333/60= 155.4 ASC: 13*750/60=162.5 Default DA have 30 armor in their first gear slot, as marine have. So even newbies don't go into fight without 255 ehp. Yo can do 285 with minor and major trinkets.
I am talking about the damage per bullet not total dps(20 vs 38) , it's non sense to do less damage and have less ammo in the mag (55 vs 60) the problem with eldar that i dont have with marines is that i need to reload after killing 3 marines whereas marine i dont need , i can easily kill more than 8 eldar without reloading ye my bad i forgot about the health trinkets
Boltgun have 30 vs ASC 55. In most times you can kill one more eldar with boltgun. It is not dramatic difference, but actually I don,t see any problems if\when devs will implement some kind of improved mags for ASC.
We finally got a scopes and shitty cqb barrel and even a penetration ammo. may be in future they will finally add such simple stuff like larger mag. May be in this case i will stop using white twinlinked.
Your calculations failed to notice the max range of the ASC is 80m. I tested it in the garrison, and it's 11 damage at 100m, which equates to about 137.5 dps, using your equation. Please take note of your variables and actually test things before running your mouth, thank you. (Not counting headshots, but those were 24 damage, I do believe.)
Are there really people that dont use the 60 bullets mag on the bolter ? (besides those who haven't unlocked it yet) with this mag the difference is dramatic And i dont think they will give us a 110 bullet mag @Cat and not even talking about the accuracy and spread of the SC at such range
Eh, I've killed a SM at longer range, without the scope. Just about managing your shots, really. Same goes for SM, though they have more damage, so if they're not just holding down the mouse button and actually firing competently, you're fucked. Back on topic though, no. 15% speed buff doesn't do shit. 30% movement speed does even less than that.
