Do not listen to whiners. Its very sensitive topic, so many die hard fans wanted the game to be done perfect. But we have it launch. For new players - a bit hard start. But here are also lots of new players, not only you. So pray on weaker Not on stronger. Its not counter strike where one bullet kills you - here you have chance to go away from mistake. As I said, join the guild, you will see what teamplay gives in TACTICAL shooter P.S. You arent alone in battles - we, veterans, fight side by side too. Not only enemy teams has good players. So equal terms for both sides.
Practice is the only key. I am 38 so age is not important. When I started I have experienced same frustartion... Now I can get to the top of scorebord sometimes. My suggestion is start play with one class and faction... Don`t go for melee first couse it needs a lots of practice. Many people claims it is easy way to get kills but it is not if you don`t have expeience. After having good results with this class just try onother. Always keep in team... try to not stay in the open, look what is going on on map. As beginer don`t try to start fights but support others. Bolter is perfect for this if you are playing SM/CSM. Same with shuriken cannon for eldar. You keep behind your team and when they get engaged jjust shoot at their oponents with aimed fire. Try to be calm and take every failure as a small step in learning. There is no magic way to be good. Just practice.
Hello there! So when I first started playing this game about a year ago I hated it for the first 25 hours or so because I was experiencing what you are. As someone whose been gaming for decades and been really good at shooters, it was frustrating as hell. When I finally "got it" and started to succeed it was like an epiphany. The game does have a steep-ish learning curve, but it's certainly not insurmountable and the depth of gameplay can be quite fun. My advice would be: Join a guild. Even if you don't like guilds and are a loner(like me) the experience to be gained from working with a team of veterans is truly invaluable. Once they've imparted some wisdom take off and go solo if you like. This sounds weird, but start by playing on the Chaos faction. I spent over 200 hours on that faction and the players just have their shit together more than the others. You will gain a lot of insight on good tactics and squad play, which wins game like nothing else. Play a Tactical or Traitor. You'll have an assault rifle type weapons which are fantastic weapons despite what you may hear on the boards(The Bolter is badass). You can be effective at close and long ranges and get used to the ebb and flow of battles. You're not completely helpless in melee also as you have a combat knife which although does low damage, swings fast and definitely put down a stubborn enemy. Watch videos on melee or force yourself to do only melee to learn the system. Although Rock, Paper, Scissors is the core there is also a timing element. It has similarities to actual fighting with move and counter move, committing to power shots that leave you vulnerable but are high risk high reward and quick jabs that don't pay big dividends but add up and are safe. I gotta make carne asada, good luck and if you see THE-MORRIGAN on the field, run the other way
Let's be truthful. It's spawn, die, repeat. That is why they took away the death stat. That new fortress map is a complete meat grinder.
The Eldar might be a good fit for you. They are very fast and very fluid but the learning curve on how to shoot and dance around your enemy is pretty high
Do NOT ignore your surrounds. I decided to take a break on Chaos today so I started working on my freebootah'. Had a situation on my first round where a space marine had parked their rhino right next to a trukk and a gunwagon. 3 SETS OF RESPAWNS all ran past me in the trukk cannoning the hell out of the rhino while they ran around me and up the stairs to the point, while half of them carried power swords or Croxis Arcaniums, aka Power/Force Weapons that can cut through vehicle armor in a pinch. If one of them hadn't been focused on the point (or had even given a single Gork about the situation) their rhino wouldn't have been easy EXP :3
If it continues like this until next weekend I'll agree with you, but for now, no. The lag which I have been experiencing in the game's current version is a lot more noticeable than previously.
