I love the 40k Universe and I love the lore if I am to have a leader I want this leader to be able to literally lead the charge into battle not be my commander who screams for me to push up when he doesn't last 5 seconds on the field! so how would you like leadership to be decided?
From what we've been told they will be elected based upon whether they complete objectives successfully. Personally I would like both systems. I.e. Commander must have successfully completed 5 squad objectives in the past 2 days to be eligible for voting Only people who have met the criteria can be voted.
I like that ideah but im worried about having a commander who sent the troops out to acquire these objectives and doesn't know which end of the bolter to hold and walks up when the works done thanks for the input tho i like it
Based on my personal experience as a grunt in PS2, I can tell that stats are not everything to a leader. It happens that a leader has to stay in the back giving orders, signaling objectives in the map etc, so his stats may not be the highest. On the contrary, someone with high stats may not be very good in leading others, or simply dislikes it. So, I'd totally prefer somone with bad stats but which is a clever leader, than the contrary. Of course, if I get a capable leader whit great stats, all the better
I believe they are working on a mixed system. But it's too early to tell. If the poll had a mixed option , I'd vote for it.
I am so exited for this game im just so worried about being told to storm a position when the commander cant get past the 30 heavy bolters if he tried yet expects his troops to XD
Who is more useful to your faction? Someone with good reflexes and accuracy. Someone who stays 90% of his playtime looking at the map and talking to other squads/strike force leaders to send reinforcements and plan attacks on campaign objectives. I want the first one with me on my squad and the second one on the war council.
A good leader wont ask his guys to kill themselves without any chance of success. I think good leaders should be there on the line with you trading shots with the enemy and coming up with winning tactics on the fly.
