Strategy and logic have no place in 40k m8 ...plus it makes him more heroic!!and that scream as he orders the charge....priceless.

RTS=Real-time Strategy, the TT has very much strategy involved (unless you go "unbound" and just spam imperial knights or wraithknights or dreadknights)

in that event there is even more strategy, with every faction and sub-faction comes a different set of tactics although humanity likely has the most variety of tactics

that is a theory revolving around the arms race, It is said that as guns become better armor must also become better to defeat guns, eventually armor will become so powerful that the only thing that can penetrate it is a physical blow delivered under the weight of the same armor (hence all races having melee weapons as a primary armament in most cases with tau excluded) which is a theory used in many mech animes where giant robots smash each other and other giant things with swords or their metal fists. In 40k the universe does continuously evolve in that way with power armor and void shields being the advancement of armor for humanity which are created to resist guns but are weaker to melee weapons
