This has to be on purpose. Every ork melee weapon clangs off the smallest knife. The swings are half the speed they were before. The stormboyz despite being clones of their marine counterparts SOMEHOW cannot actually work like them. How hard is it to cut and paste controls? The difference in control is night and day. The rokkit launcha is completely impractical other than to sit on a point and try and farm kills, something the deffguns do 10x better. Our d-bash does not work vs even knives. For fucks sake, the vehicles get stuck at spawn on maps now, cutting our vehicle use in half, because they clutter the surrounding area with crap, because they only measure how much room is needed for a fucking rhino! Good god, no matter what you do, even if you work on orks and ONLY orks, there is no way in hell they will be remotely balanced by the 23rd. This is worse than when they launched. I dont...how can you even...get here?
They did a good job of making them great in melee range after last patch's hotfix, but while this patch fixed up shootas it seemingly destroyed all the melee fixes from that. Also melee stuns don't last long enough to follow up with even a quick attack, let alone a heavy attack. Ill defer to you on rokkits, but if they can repeat the patch 21 hotfix style "hey we fixed pretty much all ork melee problems" magic, we should be in a pretty orky place. At that point its just waiting for shields and powerklaws for maximum ork.
It's all melee my friend. Plus I think there's a fatal bug with Ork melee attack ranges on lunch attacks, rolling attacks, and fast attacks. Last time I played Orks it's like I was hitting an inivisble wall whenever I tried a dash/lunge attack, strong attack, ect. Melee ranges were nerfed for everyone, but they seem to really be effecting Orks the most for some reason.
They are not. It seems like but with Brent we talked about why the shootas were underperfoming for and thats because our weapons are much, much more inaccurate than the others factions, meaning that havind double clip, more fire rate and half the damage wasn´t enought for the lack of shots that connects. So we managed to make a 12% better damage to compensate that. Ork weapons are by no mean better than ,for example, a bolter in mid range.
