  2. I got my hands on the old Chaos Terminator Lord from my friend, had no idea what it was but I heard it was from Warhammer 40k. Started researching the lore and have been for the past 10 years.

I was about 13 when a bud of mine in school had this thick book, third edition of the rules of Warhammer 40,000. I seen the images and fell in love with the models of all the armies. I couldn't afford anything like that but another bud was starting and his father got me an Eldar battle force box.

I had to paint tiny train figures for him until I paid it off but he changed his mind and took it back later. I was given 10 Space Marines and a Land Speeder by my bud though since he felt like I earned at least that much. 15 years later I'm still in the game and though I'm Chaos in all aspects (though thinkin of doing Black Templars again since new rules came out) I'll always remember that wonderful moment of being introduced to the game!

I think it started years ago, when the 2.1.3 patch was brand new in World of Warcraft. In the community i played, was a guy, with whom I've become friends. Sadly he disappeared from the aether over time because of his hardships in life, and i still dont know what happened with him. He was almost obsessed with the Warhammer40k, and i often heard from him w40k related things. After a while I start to ask about what is that, what do you mean by that... And he was eager to explain what he meant, or long stories about the heroics of the Adeptus Astartes or the Primarchs. As time passed by this dark, sad and grim world which so full of glory and honor, sacrifice and passing joy totally sucked me in.

I had been a fan of the gotrex and Felix novels for a while and while i was browsing the old world warhammer section I saw the cover to the first space wolf omnibus by William king and said " hmmm". The rest is written in the blood of my enemies.
  6. My sisters Husband, was talking to my older brother about it. I being the kid brother wanted in on what was so cool. I read my first book and loved it. The rest as they say is history!

Back in the day, my cousins had a bunch of space marines and a few other things like a vindicare assassin. They did not have any rulebooks or anything so they seemed to not know exactly how to play. Like how they did not have any units in a squad, but then again they did not have enough for any big battle. One Christmas they gave them to me because they knew I wanted them and from there, I got more. It was between GK and Sisters at the time because I wanted to make use of assassins. I went sisters because girl power forever. Later I decided to get an Eldar force and expanded on that box. I have also got some tau over the years and a guard battle force. Lately I have not got anything new because I have not played in quite some time.
