    Yup today i own.

Warhammer dawn of war, winter assault, dark crusade, soulstorm, warhammer dawn of war 2, chaos rising, retribution, space amrine, colelctors edition movie ultramarines, and actually a turnbased strategy game for the nintendo DS.....and i played the warhammer 40k firewarrior as well....good immersion but it was....hmm...i dont want to badmouth warhammer 40k but the company who made it could have done a bit better job on it.

And i am currently looking up the Horus heresy books and other literature, ill be giving them a try soon.

Warhammer 40k just has everything one could want.

It does indeed, i have all the games myself and i agree about firewarrior i was disappointed. The books are (for the most part) extremely well written, though I haven't gotten around to reading the HH books. You should give the Ultramarines Omnibus (1&2) a read, 6 books in all and IMHO well worth the read.

I'm a latecomer into the wonderful war filled world of Warhammer 40k. Back when I was young I played Space Hulk however I had no idea it was War40k, since most of the time I'd sit at the rear terminator while the front ones would be torn apart by genestealers because I was too scared to face them as they came at me down the corridor.

I started at a training college a few years back just before Warhammer Online was released, I ended up talking to the guy next to me who was a big MMO fan, he started telling me about Warhammer Online and it sounded amazing so I decided to check it out.
Fast forwarding a bit I played Dawn of War 2 when it released but was still clueless about War40k, I assumed it was a Sci-Fi version of fantasy however I had no idea of the size and scope. When I started playing DoW2 with my Brother-In-law he told me about the War40k books and that if I was to start reading them I should check out the Horus Heresy series. Since then I've devoured nearly every Warhammer 40k/fantasy novel that's been released, along with playing Space Marine and develing into the War40k Dark Vengence model starter kit.

    I regret nothing!

20 years ago, with a tabletob game called: Starquest (in my country in other is called space crusade), I never buyed other mini (i don't have the precision and the skill for assembly and panting minature and i live in a plase whitout minature shop) so i've read the book of the black library (only the book transted in my language) and played the videogame.

I was always aware of the franchise but somehow kept avoiding it. After playing Space marine, reading some books and doing research and slowly getting sucked it I started to absolutely love it. I hope that two years will be enough to learn everything important.
  7. My father got me into it. Then I became a lore nut. I've read so much of this stuff o_o

something like 15-18 years ago when I was playing around with regular tin soldiers for advanced table top games and MTG card game, spotted my first GW minis in the store , and the rest is history ;)

((I was in middle school when a friend of mine noticed that I just started up in playing Magic: the Gathering. This being the case he introduced me to the games Mage Knight and WH40k.

Years later I went off to college and there I met a lot of WH40k lore fans and got into the storylines more. A lot of the writing in it I think wasn't that good, but then again I had be spoiled on literary classics, however the universe and characterizations were great.))

I got into warhammer 40k thru the real time strategy game and it just grew from there. i have not played the table top game. i have always wanted to get into it. but alas the table top game is pricey and hard to get into, plus all the races are just so equally matched and fun to play i have a hard time just focusing on just one lol.
