How did the devs allow the autocannon to go live?

    I'd prefer the autocannon to have slight suppression, fairly small aoe burst on impact with good damage to infantry and moderate damage to vehicles. I'd also like it to fire a bit faster with slower overheat to get a really nice thumping rhythm as any proper heavy automatic cannon should :D

    Right now it definitely feels too strong as is, so even in my above wishlist the damage would have to be toned down...or get rid of the small burst and suppression effect in the above to compensate for its amazing infantry damage.

    Well, like I said, that was just a feeling I got from it initially. When it's braced it delivers fairly well, although the stuttering fire is a bit more difficult for me to aim personally, but that's not a balance issue.

    It's not a heavy machine gun, hb is one. AC = autocannon. ( hint - CANNON :D).

  5. I've been using this gun and I gotta say, I really don't think it's that OP for a devastator weapon. When you look at guns like the plasma cannon which one shots masses and the las cannon which is a great vehicle buster, the auto cannon is just the premier anti infantry gun. I think the reason people are screaming about how OP it is is because the heavy bolter sucks, not that the auto cannon is OP.

  7. The autocannon is not OP nor is stupid garbage like heavy bolter.

    You see, it actually does some damage and does suppresion pretty well. Heavy bolter only does one thing well ATM well with the new supresion and is suppresing AND NOTHING ELSE BECAUSE AT LONG RANGES DOES NOTHING.

    Is not amazing againts vehicles, nor againts close quarters combats. But is a pretty good weapon when it comes to defend places.

    Also has a huge damage falloff but I can live with it.

    in garrison it doesnt show an increase in damage from a head shot or a body shot, at least it didnt yesterday

    I would disagree here, without suppression effect this gun will be only effective at relatively close distances,i.e been trying to snipe ppl with it at 20+ meters and it took 10+ shots to kill(the problem may also relate to the server not
    registering damage input). The guns is pretty slow and after 3 shots all bullets have drastic spread. If they nerd the damage, well then gun wouldn't be usable at all. it Does 45 damage or so atm and for an actual tank cannon this ok.
    P.S at least, they really balanced plasma cannon.
