There is always knowledge and power in stories. And those two things I can't get enough of.

The Black Souls, a warband formed by Naust "The Prince Of Chaos" was notorious in their devotion into two of the most unlikely alignments of Gods, Khorne and Slaanesh. However, this is an oxymoron of an alignment, but for this warband in particular that was not the case. A prophecy was told to Abaddon that a child of Skulls and Pleasure would be born and would rise to Daemonhood and be a mighty weapon to his crusade. He was that prophesied off spring. Naust himself was conceived during a festival known as The Feast of Blood and Excess on his homeworld and on his first birthday, the feast began again only to be quickly shortened by the Imperium and Exterminatus was initiated. When Exterminatus was put to his planet, he was taken to The Warp by Daemonettes and Bloodletters and was trained in the ways of both Gods, being given later at the right age to Abaddon.

He became a Chaos Marine within years of him being given to The Despoiler, having gifts already from being in The Warp for such a time. Once he became one he was trained by both Kharn The Betrayer and Lucius The Eternal in their forms of combat. When completed in all training, he was given three weapons to take into battle. The custom Lightning Claw known as Seele Schredder "soul shredder", the twin bladed staff Blut und Überschuss "Blood and Excess", each blade housing a demon of the respective diety and finally his custom Doom Siren verflucht Stimmen or "Cursed Voices". The souls of all he has slain are fed to each of these weapons, getting him closer.

When given these he became a Chaos Lord and was given control of his own warband he made of his own squad and with that, through time his warband grew to rival many of the other splinter factions. He took the color scheme from those who followed a God known as Malal, a traitor even amongst Chaos. Wearing it to defy him and his followers but also to mock the Black Templars due to it being inverted in color scheme compared to them. Their name was earned as they fought against an Eldar force on Vipus XIII. The Farseer looked into the souls of all those that followed The Prince and saw nothing but utter blackness, calling them The Black Souls of The Galaxy before he was killed by Naust himself.

Though they do not usually have Nurgle and Tzeentch followers join them, when it is necessary they will allow a small amount to join the cause as long as it suits their needs. Now 2,000 years have passed, and Naust believes his ascension is soon. The Black Souls shall forever plague the galaxy as they come closer to his ascension and nothing shall stop their pursuit.

Mostly what I have thus far, what ya think? Here's an image of some of the guys (year ago so they were a lil messy but got them fixed!)

I would give a more detailed story of my Silent Doomcallers, but it is midnight here and I am too tired.

Heh I found what you wrote thus far to be quite useful and informative. It shows off the most unique abilities of the warband and is very insightful! Just my opinion though.
  6. 12,000 points of Eldar for my Exodite force. 2,000 points of Eldar Corsair ally's.

Quite impressive! I imagine that at some point when or if you put a bit of moeny aside you'll be getting one of the Titans for such a force?

Almost 20 years in the making...

6,000 pts of Orks (Goffs, massive infantry horde. 1 Tank; lead by the esteemed Warboss Gorbo Big'unz Bone Splatta -where he made his debut during the 'first' Armageddon crisis. His his Karnage Boyz & sidekicks Mad'Att 'Da Dok & Sparkzilla the Mechboss).
7,000 pts of Dark Eldar (An entirely converted Cloud Serpent army for the Baron at 2k, 2k Witch Cult, 3k of my own faction the Star Flayers -the later formerly retired after my Arcon personal victory of 1,000 foes captive by his hand)
4,500 pts of Sisters of Battle (infantry, mobile & seraphim heavy -my choice. All metal with the exception of the bases & the Rino chassis)
6,000 pts of Space Marines (2k Mechanicus themed conversion, 4k of my own chapter Emperors Tarots with which is built with as many options as there are variations of Chapters in storage to field it in any capacity I want -with the exception of a Blood Angel Baal Predator, to which I have none. Entirely every named HQ character for Space Marines, in every chapter and variation, is of my own conversion to match the color scheme & theme of my Tarots.)
5,000 pts of Chaos Marines (3k undivided, 2k Khorne, soon to be another 2k -Noisey, and about 750pts of unassembled walkers & fliers to fill in for any of the previous mentioned)
2,500 pts of Tzeentch Daemons (all metal, even the conversions)
5,000 pts of Imperial Guard (2k entire Arbites [actual models] mobile & 3k of my own Fire Tigers 213th -massive infantry horde)
2,500 pts of nids. 2k gaunt horde w/ warrior support. The other 5k was the starts of a GS cult but they nerfed there favored form of deployment so it fizzled out.
1k of Tau (starts of a Sky-doom force cause I hate fliers & everyone else loves them), 1k of Eldar (beginnings of a Guardian Assault force w/ heavy focus on Fire Dragons). Both of which I had more but got bored with previous editions and sold or traded.

Because Matt Ward believes that the shortest game of 40k possible is held in robot hands so People don't like it when I play Necrons. So I don't collect Necrons in any capacity so I am not seduced by his trickery.

And to think that's not even counting my WFB collection... It is A LOT model count & points wise but far fewer armies.
