Before you read,I wrote sub-fiction by accident in the title,actually i mean "Sisters of Battle as a fiction",i dont know how i wrote "sub-fiction" I really like Drawn of War-Soulstorm for it has sisters of battle,actually I still playing it now. Hope in the future we would have Sisters of Battle as a fiction or smiply let us chose the gender
Lol, and here is the 101st thread on it XD Again nothing against, but I'm not going to explain reasoning besides there being balance issues because of population and sisters being on the same side as marines.
Just let it die. It's both lore and a potential game breaker. Space Marines and Sisters are not, in fact, the same faction. The Adepta Soritas is the militant arm of the Ecclesiarchy while the Adeptus Astartes are a semi-autonomous collection of independent militaries. They don't operate the same way, they don't have the same command structure, and they are most certainly not interchangeable. And, imminent population imbalance.
seriously if you ever want it to happen start writing to GW (game workshop) and suggest it .. perhaps theyll retcon 3 decades of established lore and fluff (just dont hold your breathe) until then ... provide one, just one GW approved source supporting the existance of female space marines and you might have a chance at a discussion on the subject, but what your suggesting is about as lore breaking as an 8foot tall pure-breed dwarf, a glass sword cutting steel armour, or guns that shoot flowers
Actually, there's a Chapter Approved article(Where they also introduced Daemonettes on Steeds of Slaanesh.) which introduced Emperors Children who completely switched genders, if you call that a 'female' Space Marine. There! Lore friendly female space marines....who were all men...and happen to be extensively warped by the powers of Chaos beyond all recognition.
ADEPTA SORORITAS（AkA Sisters of Battle,all females） is a existedvsub-fiction in Warhammer 40k and they are a selectable fiction in Drawn of War-Soulstrom.
But they aren't Space Marines, it's not a 'sub-faction' it's an entirely different branch and military culture.
