EC is a lobby shooter for 30 players, with 4 playable factions, 1 of which is loyalist Space Marines from WH40k, a half-dozen maps and vague promises of improvement that have consistently gone unfulfilled in the past. Also, I don't think any other game really needs to kill Eternal Crusade. It'll get there on its own.
That all amazon servers have gone bonkers doesn't help either. (I always suspect the cleaning staff tripping over important cables when something like this happens.)
i play EU time and near midnight -2am playing orks is a bad choice hardly get a full team tried eldar similar story only csm and lsm have a decent pop at that time for me .. but hey ho
The last campaign was very anti climatic. Everybody won and got their RTC with Lsm only winning on paper with no real first place prize. If there was an awesome unique cosmetic you could win more people would be pushing for it. I mean how many people are just goiung to play the game untill they get the ten wins for the participation prize without caring who actually wins? Combine that with the latest patch swinging the nerf hammer hard on a favoured playstyle of many, its no wonder the player count is low this week.
What exactly is the prize from the campaign that people are going for? Free RTC? Yeah, I still haven't worked my way through the RTC I got for free when I got the game on Early Access, and according to the newsletter I just got another 20,000 RTC for free. And why should I care who wins? It doesn't affect anything I care about.
