Awesome! As long as there's no "you can't run this dungeon with us because you have the best bolter in the game, too bad it's a PvP one ...."
I'm really glad you like where we're thinking of heading; and thanks for sharing your thoughts, we'll take it into consideration as we move further along. Let me suggest a creating new thread for fellow members to present their feedback. Cheers!
It's not a talent system in the traditional MMO sense where you have a finite number of points to allocate. XP can be spent in advancement tree(s) to unlock options for loadouts. Eventually, it will be possible to unlock everything. Since the game is class-based, there will be some restrictions when creating loadouts for a class. This will help in balancing and preserve strong iconic roles. So no Jump Pack and Heavy Bolter combinations! Sorry to dash all of your hopes!
thats ok it would look stupid but i would love to make some serios decisions while chosing the attributes of my character which will distinguish my char to a similar one for example havin more sprintspeed while anotherone would have faster directionchanges while sprinting you know what i mean?^^
The site of a Space Marine jump-packing into a horde of enemies, firing his Heavy Bolter and being propelled madly like an exploding Weird Boy in DoW2 would be hilariously awesome.
I am all for rewarding players, but this isn't go to turn into, "Invest 300 hours per month to get this sweet weapon", is it? I have a somewhat long work day and would love to enjoy the game, perhaps not get EVERY sweet item, but at least get something worth while.
That's one of the things we're exploring now - making sure that we can support enough depth. We want multiple ways for characters to distinguish themselves from others in the same class.
