Hey Devs you need money and we need a solution to the MM system.

Dislike for the original poster's idea aside, do you think it's reasonable for a group of clan members to stack one team versus a bunch of randoms?

  2. Unfair yes, sadly it is call practice.
I know it hurts to be a practice target but where could they do it but in game? If there was a real training ground (aka match making with map choice) accessible from garrison or a separate system that do not ask to get appointments, guilds could at last make their training.
But actually there is only in game to do that. And don't talk to me about arena in garrison... fun but not a training ground.
  3. I'm not a person that would usually say such a thing but the OP's proposal is just idiotic. I continue to not be able to see why some folks think that playing in a guild in a team based game is "P2W". We honestly don't get much playing at all to begin with. As a Rank 6 player you don't get any XP or advancement and Requisition is not worth anything until they introduce new things and then once you have then it is worthless again.

I can understand some frustration folks do have when you go up against an organized guild as a PUB, after all I do single queue as well at times. What I don't understand is this burning need many unguilded players have to lash out at guilded players, after all its not like joining a guild is beyond anyone, and the OP's proposal is definitely meant to strike back at guilded players for cheating the game and making them suffer or some other nonsense.

If the OP thought rationally and logically why not just propose that anyone in a guild be in a separate queue, even when single queuing and if you were not in a guild you would never queue against people that were in a guild.

yes i think its possible but if you ask if i think pugs can pull it off id say no. within first two minutes in pug teams i can normally tell if we are going to win or lose based off on plays. However the problem of pug vs premade is always there but i think due to low population everyone is hyper aware. in most team games there are always premades around and they pubstomp more often than not.
But with EC's low player count what you see is same clan stack over and over and it takes a lot of fun out of the game. Id say only worthwhile solution is if Devs improve game to a point it retains more players, which is awhile away. so yes i COMPLETELY agree its a problem but i think there is a lot of kneejerk reactions.

Joining a guild doesn't cost a cent. And being part of any guild that communicates is always going to be better than not being in a guild at all, even if they aren't one of the super big name "elitist" guilds.

I'm not in a guild, for reference. I don't practice what I preach, however, because I am supremely lazy.

So would limiting grouped players to being matched up against similarly sized groups on opposing team (the rest of each team being made from random players on both sides) be a fairer solution in random games?

    How it might work:
Any group of 3 or less is fine.
A group of 4 or more must be matched up against an opposing team with a similar sized group.

Allow a + or - 1 player at lower group sizes and + or - 2 at larger sizes, to add more matching opportunities.

    Examples:
A group of 4 players queueing can be matched against an opposing team with containing a 3, 4 or 5 player group. The rest of the teams are made of random players on both sides.

    4 vs 3, 4 or 5
    5 vs 4, 5 or 6
    6 vs 5, 6 or 7
    and so on.

Once you hit around 10 players in a group have it search + or - 2 players, giving a slightly broader chance of matching.
  7. They've with me. It's no fun tryharding while a Clanstack just demolishes you. You can't fix first impressions. What you can do is retain a player and work, work, work and EVENTUALLY even maybe change his first impression to..."what was I thinking" sort. In my 30 hours, I haven't seen anything even resemble fair or quality MM-a thing that soured the game for me greatly. == a bunch of bad impressions.

And no, the groups simply can't have their queue. Because...population. Hell, even LoL refrains from trying to match a 5v5, let alone 30v30 like Ronan for example.

It's a catch 22 to be sure and the f2p could well be dead on arrival.

    Two buttons replace battle now.
    Quick play or clan play.
Anyone can do either but grouping up isn't allowed in quick play.
MM system forcing groups from same guild into different games in quick play -

Of course for this to work we would need a large player population and remove the ability to join any game from the world map..

Given where they are taking territorial control and the world map this would be difficult to do without making the quick play games have no effect on territory, or some other system to stop guildies sneaking in via the world map.

A larger player base and more throwaway gameplay for the final development goal and the above would probably work well.

But for the territory based gameplay we want, and given population is never likely to rocket; we need to find other alternatives that don't section of chunks of the players.

So maybe a better idea is, I dunno - just add VOIP and a better order system to the comma rose (make the comma rose click able instead of having to select via keys too).

Encourage team play outside of guilds and this whole issue is made more manageable for everyone.

Maybe we should try things like this before we all go off to separate continents to play on.

Just remove the ability for premades to seal club PUGs easily... if they want to sit in a chat and coordinate when to press "battle now" fine.. let them do that, but stop throwing premades into a PUG match.

But i am absolutely opposed to the idea of having to pay premium... i already paid 50 bucks for the game, i do not need to pay a monthly subscription on top of it. If they want money.. then how about some more cosmetics?

I am still waiting for something interesting for my Eldar, Chaos and Ork...
