I noticed that dumping transports and just leaving them can be a bad idea, so I tend to drive off and make sure I remain close to any capture points and avoid anyone armed with anti-vehicle weaponry just so my squad doesn't have to spawn miles away. Why not give a small bonus for people respawning in the transport or for moving players around? Note: You'd only get XP from carrying around your own squad and it won't stack, so 10 players doesn't mean x10 transport XP. I'm also aware of how fast people tend to die in droves so the respawn experience will have to be rather small as well like 10 per head, maybe even 5. The capture points themselves, this is something really fickle with me because as much as I do love immediately spawning on top of capture areas it can be real annoying having to deal with wave after wave of enemies that just keep spawning nearby. How about making it so capture points have a live system set in, the same as the attack/defence maps? About 50 lives average per point that regenerate over time every 10 seconds or something. I can see the downsides to this since most players will get annoyed having to trudge long distances and most people aren't quite the fan of that. Maybe a small XP gift to people that manage to save people from being executed? Guardian - 30xp TL;DR Version Transports - Drivers get taxi XP - Drivers get respawning squad members xp in said transport Capture Points - Limit them with lives - Max 50 - +1 per 10 seconds until max'd out again
I agree with this you need to put the effort. If they did something like this I would just afk in the back of the map and have a blast lvling up by doing nothing.
Thats why i mentioned upping the rewards for the seldom or poorly rewarded actions, rather then dragging down the "hard working" players along with the "im going to shoot a tank with a Stalker Bolter half of the match" players. Even in your system, the people who currently do unrewarding tasks of defense or similar things like dedicated AV (i always tank in the XP gain when i spend my entire match hunting transports...) are going to suffer, cause they will be getting less XP cause their average will also be averaged with the people who did fuck all to help the team. Its better to make more actions rewarding then indirectly make things that are already rewarding less rewarding just so someone who did nothing gets rewarded for doing nothing. That way the people who contribute get well rewarded and people who dont bother contributing get lesser rewards based on their own merits.
