Here's a suggestion about implementing vets, elites, and even more in a sensible way

  1. So, we all know the current limitations, and we all hate it as well. Yet having all vet / elite matches should be avoided at all costs, for obvious reasons. So what should be done?

My question is, have you ever played Star Wars Battlefront? There, players who perform well have a chance to play one life as a hero character. There's also a colldown time between the appearence of heroes, so they are a quite rare sight on the battlefield (relatively speaking).

I suggest implementing a similar system, combined with the current one, on an individual basis. Here are the main points of this idea:

-Every player should start with a limited spawn of vets / elites (so basically, the current system).
-Performing really well as a normal character should earn the player the ability to spawn as a vet / elite once more
-What "performing really well" actually mean should depend on the class of the player, it can be kills, support actions, tanking damage etc

This idea would still allow everyone to play as advanced classes, reward skilled gameplay, and solve the problem of the current system (that everyone hates to some degree). But there's more!

-With this system, there could be tiers of advanced classes, eg: veterans are the lowest classes, elites are the next, then whatever else will come in the future, like terminators, rangers, wraith guard, mega nobs etc.
-The player's performance as a normal character could decide the tier of elite class they are rewarded with
-This system would make elite vehicles possible, like Dreadnaughts and their equivalents

Here's a thread (that I did not make) about Dreadnaughts
    https://forum.eternalcrusade.com/threads/dreadnaught-mechanics-video.67671/

Rewarding well performing players with spawning as elite vehicles is also much more lore friendly than the spawning mechanic presented in the above linked thread, considering that eg: a Space Marine player who did really well would be grafted into a Dreadnaught after they died.

Just let all your elites deploy once. So if you got lets say Shoota and Loota elites unlocked, you can deploy one of each once, for the max of 2.

Tricky to balance, since Eldar get more classes.

They will never reward skilled players , because then the game will be more unbalanced than ever , muh skill op

Not exactly, each class serves a different and very specific role. Could give the factions with 5 classes 2 elite spawns per class instead, since eldar have 7 specialised classes and the other faction classes are more versatile.

Or each 5-class Faction 4 spawns per type and Eldar 3, so it's 20vs21. That's about as close as you're going to get it without getting into silly numbers.

Maybe implement deploy-timers based on map`s FUBAR degree (you pushed very hard by enemy, so you can spawn more often)?

One life per vet would be a start.
No one cares about eldars having more classes when they have the same stats as a normal marine has on their vets.
in fact they probably need the extra elite spawns to be balanced again =D
