Devs I tried to find the post by Nathan recently for his request of Top 10 fixes but I cant find it. I CBFed searching for it - ive wasted enough time on EC as it is. Okay so my suggestion would be: 1. Uninstall I did today and I feel better for it. Given the direction of the game (lack of) and the crisis management with the patches and what's being addressed, breaking things even more, EC is barely playable and I have to wonder and ask if the Devs play, what do they play and how much do they play? There is no point in me giving a list of 10 or even 100 things (i've been writing down everything that I find wrong with the game) because I dont have the confidence its even worth it. The biggest issues with this game are so fundamental and they are not being addressed nor is there any communication that they are being reviewed. I am not going to wait for a game to be good. Ive done that and all too often they dont...and you dont have to these days! Sure your hand was forced and you released early but you have wasted a lot of time on crap that was not fundamental. Shinies people can wait for but the game is crap from the interaction with environment to the physics to balance to combat to equipment to hardware on your end. So off I go, still 150-160K RTC still on my account but I couldnt care less. Not even Terminators will make me reinstall. Glad some people seem to enjoy it but the number is small as shown by the stats. At least ive learnt never to buy before a game is finished, especially any titles from Behaviour Interactive or Bandai Namco.
The thread you're looking for to give your top 1o list of issues is the very first one in General Discussion.
A quick note on performance from someone who's had issues with EC from the buy-in Alpha: increase your Virtual Memory. EC likes a big sandbox and the base OS allocation probably isn't enough. The benchmark is to set the range to minimum being your total RAM (say 4gb) and the maximum to twice that (8gb). Beyond that I feel you Skarbrand. There are a few things tethering me to EC, but only a few. Either I'm playing Eldar with MYST or I'm waiting to finally log out and wander off. There just isn't much "fun" involved, and if that's true what am I really doing?
So my box is a Windows 10 box, and I can only relay info from that perspective. Cool? Probably also work for Windows 7 and maybe 8. Control Panel -> System and Security -> System -> View amount of RAM and processor speed. -> Advanced System Settings -> Performance -> Settings and than set VM by drive.
Well EC is pretty much a lazy ass copy of space marine which makes their efforts with it thus far even more depressing.
