"When the devs away the forum will play" Seriously it feels like the dev team have to herd us like cats to keep us in line. I mean just look at all these doomsaying threads popping up with 3 weeks gone and 1 twich with 3 more weeks to go till the next twitch. I'm sure development is going to be happening within this time, possibly with stuff rolling out to live, at least by the end of this week we'll have one patch rolled out to live. Anyways so we had 3 weeks with no twitch due to two things: An office move for an ancient building that was literally falling apart with torrential rain in their lunch room and people getting stuck in elevators, fair enough. Half of bEhavi0our being sick, fair enough. Then we get 1 twitch stating that there wont be another twitch for 3 more weeks because of one thing that I'm sure we can all understand: Public holidays biach! , sure, fair enough as well I mean I'm sure as hell not going to work on a public holiday if I don't have to! lol.
No no, we are mice, the cheese is hope and they are the lab scientists. Get it right man, Cats are near impossible to herd.
If your game is going well and you take a day off... whatever man, have som funz n stuff. But when Terminators should be after 3 months and half the year is over again without seeing them...? Or when melee is basically playing Dark-Souls level of hard to do something right while playing a shooter (so everyone else got a gun, you know?) Then people don't get happy when they hear "Yeah, content will come even slower"
I think you misunderstand what herding cats means. Its what you do when you're a platoon leader in planetside. The "cats" are all the players you're "herding." And they may or may not listen and they kinda do whatever the hell they want anyways.
Community panics because we see no progression for months. Faction campaigns and elites gave us some hope to hold on to, but lack of eldar campaign and elite instantly crushed that hope. We want to see the light, but we can't. Too much things are on hold, too much stuff is delayed, there doesn't seem to be any focus at all and we go rabid over that.
Public Holidays doesn't prevent them from having a twitch chat on a Thursday, if they wanted to have a livestream. Alas, they do not want to have a livestream. And the "doomsaying" is not because of the lack of livestreams, but the culmination of the information that has been coming out of the Devs as well as the dwindling numbers of players that can be felt in the game.
Thank you. The entire fucking community is currently in full gear 'Age of Strife'-mode and its laughable. Wether they make progress or not: The game is not in a worse state than at any other time, if you enjoyed playing in the past, you should be able to enjoy playing it now. Its not like you could just take a hiatus for a few months and return for the next major patch that brings the hype back. But noooo, game must be dying. Lets all preach damnation in order to make sure this becomes a self-fullfilling prophecy. I am not blind. I see the mistakes they made, I see the things gone wrong that were beyond their control, I see the diminishing playerbase and all the same fucking things the rest of you sees. But in spite all that, I am still genuinly enjoying the game. Because I dont focus on the bad aspects, because I dont block myself from having fun. Because this title, all things considered, is still not half as bad as many of you make it out to be. But the more everyone over-emphasizes all the bad stuff, the worse it will feel.
I think our doomsaying is pretty justified when you take a serious look at whats going on in the game. The fact that you enjoy the game doesn't mean it isn't circling the drain as we bitch on the forums. People have invested hard earned cash to fund and play this game in the hope that MAYBE it would turn out to be something good, so they have full rights to come here and complain. People emphasise the bad things because A) The bad things aren't getting fixed and/or B) They're actually getting worse. Maybe we'll stop bitching if we see ANY progress being made in the right direction. I'll take ANYTHING at this point.
