Hey there y'all; So I have this game coming up next weekend - 1500 points, CSM (myself) vs Eldar I know he will be bringing jetbikes as troops, a scorpion, and that he does NOT use anything that doesn't hover in one way or another (that means no aspect warriors unless he uses Shadow Spectres) As I haven't being playing long - I haven't got much available to me that being; 20-something (22 I believe) Plague Marines Typhus Daemon Prince 5 Warp Talons (why did I build these guys...) 2 Rhinos Maulerfiend Forgefiend 10 normal CSM 5 Terminators Sorcerer in Terminator armour ... As Plague marines are my main troops available to me here I'm almost having to take Typhus to fit the force org - unless I choose to ignore that and go unbound. I haven't put a list together yet myself, and I don't expect you guys to, but; What do you think I should be taking, and what should I not be taking? From what I know, that superheavy is about half his list in points , but can pretty much wreck everything it shoots at?
Might I suggest you take Havocs equipped with Missile Launchers and Flakk Missiles as they have Skyfire enabling you to shoot at his Skimmers at your full Ballistic skill even he moves them flat-out. If you had one, or the resources to get one, I would suggest the Sicaran Battle Tank as it has the ability to negate Jink. Very useful against Jetbikes.
You could also make the daemon prince a daemon of Slaanesh so they all lose a point of leadership. Daemon's have fear and Eldar aren't fearless.
Hm, didn't consider the jink rules/the skyfire rules... that definitely throws a cog into what I have available t0 me, may need to have an emergency stop to pick up some units lol EDIT I'm screwed at psychic phase right?
You could use a daemon prince with mastery levels to help you out. There's also a gift of mutation that sends a hit back to the psyker for every deny the witch roll. Not much of a chance to get it though
Sorcerers are also cheap. A master level 3 won't set you back much but that gives you some warp charges to make that Eldar player think twice. You might bait them into using more charges to ensure a power goes off.
