Naw, Mat Ward works for Games Workshop, not Relic Entertainment. I'm not sure where the idea for the Blood Ravens' emblem came from. It certainly does resemble the Raven Guard and Blood Angels', but that might just be purposeful; Relic reaching to well-liked chapters to increase their creation's street cred. Still, the Blood Ravens are one of my preferred chapters, because after two games I've come to feel like I've had a hand in shaping their past and future. Certainly I've protected Sub-sector Aurelia enough times to think of it as "my" sector.
Looks like the one whos name shall not be siad was lazy.[/quote] Im not aware of the warpdust sniffers involvement (the guys who made dawn of war the video game "invented" them), but you bring a good point, was HE involved? it would explain a lot.

What's sad is that Captain Titus and Sergeant Sidonus are essentially what the Ultramarines used to be like. And Leandros is what they are now.
Well, essentially the whole Imperium calls Him the God-Emperor, so I wouldn't put that much thought into that. As for the Dark Angels, that is certainly also up to discussion, but yeah, from those few words there is a tendency towards the Ultramarines (I do think most other chapters would still be in the race at that point though) Anyways, concerning that canon-discussion you guys had a few pages back: one of the "good" writers (I think it was ADB, but I'm not entirely sure) said everything is up to the reader/player/consumer, whether something is canon or not. Can't find the link to that right now, so you'll have to take my word on it
As cool as the first foundings are , I've always liked the sound of the later foundings... Black dragons are freaking cool. They were formed during the so called "Cursed Founding" ? i think and all the chapters formed then had some form of con. Anyway Black dragons have a mutation which causes their bones to continue growing which leads to them getting bone claws! think wolverine but with only one big claw on each hand, it also caused their faces and spines to change, i think i read somewhere that a marine pretty far down the line of the mutation would be larger than a Terminator Marine! Also Black Templar's. They were formed from the Imperial Fists but they are a lot more fanatical, not all chapters believe the Emperor is a god but these bad ass dudes do. They are also on a permanent crusade that's been ongoing since the Heresy i think.. They ignore the Codex about the number of Marines in a chapter there should be a maximum of 1000 marines but the BTs are split into different crusade forces are are thought to vastly outnumber that. Essentially Super religious and more likely to charge into the enemy than waiting for it to come to them. I dont mind the blood ravens too much but that might be because its heavily hinted that they are a Thousand Sons Loyalist successor.. Ahriman (the Thousand son dude who made all non psychic TS marines get turned into mindless robots) Well he says somewhere to a Blood Raven that he personally knew their Original chapter master/head Librarian hinting that they were formed from some survivors of Prospero who remained loyal. The Space wolves are the only ones Ive even heard of drinking beer i know some others drink wine but wont make them drunk, they are thought to be simple beserkers there is a quote from a Space Wolf but i cant remember the quote exactly but it goes along the lines of they are a savage legion but they aren't savages.. they want others to underestimate them so that they get caught off guard. ALSO WOLF FANGS! other legions have slight mutations of their gene seed but the space wolf geneseed causes them to grow big fangs increases their senses like a wolf and it means they can "sense" what others of their "packs"are feeling. Pretty handy if you ask me. The Mantis warriors are cool too. They are currently? on a penitent crusade because during the Badab war they joined with the astral claws before they officially defected to become to Red corsairs. they have a fault with their gene seed where they can force themselves to go into a permanent state of heightened awareness which basically makes them move and think so quickly that everything seems to be slow mo, the downside is they lose the ability to think forwards or plan ahead, they become like berserkers, unable to think beyond their next enemy when in this state which can only end with death. The Exorcists are like less extreme Grey Knights without the entire chapter being psychic. Some bright spark in the inquisition wanted to find out what would happen if they caused marines to become possessed by Daemons then exorcised them. Well it made them essentially invisible to daemons ( Unbelievably handy ) so they are an almost perfect weapon against the forces of the warp. They also don't kill every last civilian or military who happens to glance upon them. This is why i love 40k so much each chapter /legion has their own unique story and methods. No matter which chapter you pick though the outcome will still be the same, your last sight will be my chain axe about to separate your head from your body. Its not my fault really i just work for a guy who loves his skulls. BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
