Since the Titel could mean anything, here the explenation: I want to give Spacemarine Players the Option to Play without a helmet, but obviously Not without some specials. Lets just beginn: 1. If a Spacemarine wears his helmet, he has the Same. Features as everyone els. 2. If he plays without helmet, he gots Hmm... 10% more dmg on his Head. Im agains an insta-kill, because of gameplay (wouldnt be fun). As far as I know, Astartes have a Metalplate in their Head for Protection. 3. Without your helmet, You Trade Your minimap against a Radar. You will still See your Enemys Or your Target Or your mates, but Not exact Position Or the Terrain. you loose the Map, because without a helmet, no HUD. I would stick to the Radar, because of gameplay, and would Argument with Following: I think i have readen that some Astartes doesnt wear a Helmet, Because they can use their Senses better, and propably stell their enemys Brothers. (i think it was a Spacewolf Novel). 4. You loose Your Most of Your HUD. 4.1 you will still have a healthbar, because u know if you are dead (And gameplay) 4.2 If an indicator of how damaged your armour is exists, it wont ne there, And you would habe to Look at your marine to See it. 4.2 you have no healtbars etc of your squad. 4.3 there Should ne other changs too, isnt in Stone yet. 5. you will have no Optik Filters. 6. flashbangs will have a bigger Impacts on you, since Your Eyes and ears arent Protectet. 7. Flamer etc. Do More dmg, because your Head is exposed. Similliar to Point 2. If you agree with me, add some points, Or just comment. If you disagree, comment too. They should do it like most MMO. A Option Slider tho hide the Helmet but still get his benefits. Easy and best solution for everyone.
i rely like the idea of a helmet giving certain benefits at the expense of other benefits. Like without a helmet us Space wolves get to use our enhanced eyes, ears and nose better. Wearing a helmet should have all things a helmet contains like hud that helps with targeting and so on.
This was my Intention, because Not wearing a helmet is a dump Choice in my eyes I thought about it, but at 2 am im Not so Good with ideas just had to post it. Pls add some points, the List isnt finished Yet. Feel free to post some advantages. Ps: I like Toast too, but helmets ARE importent! Sincerly, me
There was a thread about wearing helmets or not, people bitched about logic and others about it being a cosmetic option. I for one couldn't care less, helmets are a cool cosmetic to have, if you dont want to wear one then dont, if you do then do. Complaining about logic is the dumbest thing one can do, yes if I wear a helmet I'm more likely to survive a shot to the head, but we are talking about a game, logic has no meaning. EDIT: If anyone bothered to read, weapons and perks/unlocks are the only thing that change your character, armor is purely cosmetic.
