I'm for being able to go with no helm. That said if you do go with no helm your characters head should be much more vulnerable to damage. Your character should also be more vulnerable to being stunned from explosions and blunt force trauma. Your UI should also alter accordingly, resulting in a loss of the read outs your helmet/visor were providing. There would be some small advantage to going with no helm since a helmet does detract somewhat from peripheral vision.
Don't mean to troll @BikerTroll and destroy any dream here, but FACES are not confirmed. According to my ASSUMPTION.
I hate being a generic character, just like everyone else. This is why I am turning my helmet off, most of the time. If we want to make it more realistic > we can implement it aka loadout. If we decide to discard helmet > we can choose something else instead, aka we have more loadout space. Also, there should be an option for personal void shield. This way, we can have both our individuality and our protection.
Q:Helm or No Helm A: Yes or No .... riiiiight... Your poll is bad and you should feel bad. My comment is also bad and I am feeling bad.
I find it interesting that while some people seem to not really care what other people do there are some who absolutely insist on everyone else having to do it their way ... and its especially interesting that the ones doing the insisting are all "wear helm cause...." people, not a single person who might like to not wear a helm/hide their helm is going around insisting that no-one should get to wear them
i'm joking but it's also true: in particular for space wolf that need separated head customization like beard and hair. also face animation and expression, are not simple. the only race that is forced to have face and face animation is the orkz
if bE can model a range of helms then I doubt modeling a range of heads is beyond their abilities, its not like we expect a players character's face to change expression due to circumstance any more then we expect damage to appear on helms during the battle, its a small thing in the grand scheme of things
Players should have the option to cosmetically remove their helmet at wish. This should not affect the player, as the player has a right to be able to customize their characters the way they wish, there should be as little restrictions as possible, especially in a game that has a huge emphasis on customization. CupCake has spoken.
