Forget their lp price: they deal too much damage and it's too easy to hit with auto lock + rmb spam. Either the damage is nerfed or auto lock must go away.
Brent's Game Design update will cover that. I know both Ork and Eldar melee timing was changed in this patch and still is under balancing focus, and the animations are a bit out of whack after that tuning. It'll continue though. But no, there is no single BIG balancing patch and never will be. Too many changes would actually be counter-productive as you wouldn't be able to pinpoint what went well and what didn't.
All very valid questions. I'm actually much more interested in ranged damage being helped out. I feel melee is -incredibly- strong and it feels as if it's the real focus of the game (Not trying to be salty, I actually play melee myself). I just feel ranged its next to impossible to perform well with unless you are using a plasma cannon or sitting in a tank. Any tid bits on how you plan to improve ranged combat?
I'm sorry. I don't believe you actually read what I said before replying, as you're suggesting exactly what I did and happened except we deployed it on the Thursday so we _could_ find it on Thursday and patch on Friday. Perhaps it's because you're mixing days?
Balance comes with collecting data, and collecting data is not something you do by delaying patches for 5 days. I can see why the call was made to get it out, I don't mind waiting on the notes.
So not only did you release a patch in which you did not have a list of changes ready for beforehand, you released something you knew was not up to standards and will require another patch just to fix the animations you broke with this one?
Blade, You knowingly bought into a game that had no guarantee of becoming what it promised, that's the gamble you as well as the rest of us took.
