your not understanding. grey knights are elites compared to space marines. they are far closer to sternguard and vanguard veterans/sword brethren/first company--though better equipped, as they have the firepower of sternguards and the melee capability of vanguards, which, along with their psyker abilities, brings them a bit above those vets. I am saying that while banshees are a match for assault marines (with particularly skilled ones being a match for vanguard vets), run of the mill harlequins are a match for run of the mill grey knights.
Actually I understand exactly what you are suggesting, I am disagreeing with your caparison. Saying a basic harlequin is the same as another basic troop and saying they are both better than another basic troop is... its... hmmm how not to offend nazi-mods... basic troops are basic, regardless of faction. as I pointed out the main difference is gear, all taken care of by build points.
All with the caveat of being a post-release wish list: +1 to Harlequins +1 to Dark Eldar +1 to more craftworld choices BTW the holo-shield effect would likely be accomplished all client-side: the server need only track the character's real location, tho it be hidden by the effect the client sees.
My long-standing issue with this is twofold. When the Dark Eldar do meander their happy asses into the warfront, DEldar fielded Harlequins and Craftworld Eldar fielded Harlequins will make me laughingly log out of the game. Because Harlequins don't fight Harlequins. Period. But if they're available as a hero class, then Harlequins beating the crap out of other Harlequins will probably be pretty common-place. If we're not allowed to have Grey Knights because to portray them correctly would be game-breakingly powerful, why are we allowed to have Harleys? These guys are the guardians of the Black Library, they literally dance around bullets and their Kiss is horrendously powerful. TT =/= Lore, otherwise DEldar Mandrakes would be unfair.
I wouldn't worry about that, Dark Eldar will be at best the 4th expansion, if they take a year for each expansion... well that could be a problem someone will figure it out by 2019.
That's the mentality that brought down a nation's economy. The issue has presented itself so let's deal with it. I'm honestly fine with Harley's not being available to the DEldar at all, they pick and choose their battles as they please. But not everyone thinks like me, they are an option for the DEldar in the TT so people will want them available.
Thank god we are just talking about a video game... I don't see the issue, DE are not popular enough to get a quick expansion, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't appear ever in the game so I wouldn't like to make any change to the game just in case they become popular enough to get their own expansion several years down the line...
Interesting how economics has come up! Lets wait until we have confirmation and an actual game before calling out game breaking lore, also DE are really down in terms of sales in GW so doubt we will see much of them.
