Probably autocannons won't be simply using hitscan. I hope they implement them correctly cos that's one of my most fav weapons. BTW is the gameplay video already posted somewhere in the forums?
No, no no. Autocannons have projectiles, and so do base turrets. I'm talking about bolter rounds having travel time, and being a histcan weapon at the same time
Couldn't you just put a delay on the time between when you pull the trigger and when the 'hit' occurs at the calculated landing location?
Thanks for taking your time to do this, this is all so very very exciting. I'm sure it's a bit of a bummer that that they want to do the basic 'shoot, extra shooty, and melee' trio of classes first for all the factions before moving onto supports, but at the same time - this means that Orks and Eldar come sooner rather than later. I guess it depends what you read. I've read a lot of fluff in which space marines and traitors could drop their sidearm and take a two handed grip when they *really* needed extra force. A standard sized Executioner would be about the same size, maybe a bit larger, than a standard 'Astartes' sized chainsword. There are, however, Astartes sized Executioner chainswords. The cover-art of a Flesheaters novel has a captain (presumably) wielding one. As well as the the character 'Xarl' in the Night Lords series by Aaron Bowden Dembski, his choice of melee is an Executioner blade. He is able to wield it one handed, but does take it into a two handed stance when needed - he is described as being slightly stronger than your 'average Astartes', if I recall correctly. Not that that would prevent bE from adding executioners, and if I recall an old thread, Brent did say they wanted things like Executioner blades. -edit- I have no idea why this all came out bold. ):
Were you able to drive close enough to the enemy, in order to hit them with your sword? Thanks for this btw. Been nicely informative.
