Sadly PS2 has now "had its day". 2 year cycle for SOE games, and then they move on to the next project.
Yeah, but PS2 doesn't have much staying power IMO. I couldn't really get into the game, the battles were just a grind. Pretty much you just ride the zerg and if it goes well you pin down the enemy their spawn points for like 10 min until the battle just sort of ends. Definitely hoping EC doesn't have the same pitfalls.
If you're gonna make a survival game with microtransactions then at least make them cosmetic-only, what's the point or fun of this genre if you can just buy your way into the best weapons and armor? This over-saturated genre is getting sick, and the funny thing is these games aren't even finished yet, they are all early accesses, once they are finished (if ever) no one is gonna care about them anymore. The only one I'm looking foward to is DayZ because it's the one everyone else is trying to imitate, but I also got my eye on Grav because of the Sci-fi multiple-planet-exploration setting and not post-apocalyptic-zombie-shennanigans.
That's one of the things that bE wants to steer clear the most, however, i must say I still enjoy PS2, that game kind of suits me.
Yeah... I don't like SOE at all. Planetside 2 is honestly the only good game they've released since SWG. It's a miracle that Smedley hasn't been fired yet.
well i think the counter argument here is that even if you do buy this drop and use it, other player can steal the items in the drop, so your taking a giant risk in calling activating this event
this is the real problem: not about the airdrop it self, the rage don't come from a decision: if somebody want to make a p2w game can, they can do what they want. the problem is when you for months lie to the fans and use that for sell more.
well based on a video i watch it seem actual the devs had said for months there would be a low chance for weapons and ammo in these air drops. But is seemed like no one payed attestation to it, or very few people acutaly listend
