I think that he meant 30k has rulebooks and such for those armies but not ones for some of the more major 40k races. Which if you take the 40k vs the 30k would most likely result in a faceroll of the 40k. But I dunno for sure this is all speculation on my part from what I have read online since I don't play TT.

well eldar during the great crusade was just fallen,
necron was still sleeping (the first contact of necron is during 41k
    , tyranids only genestealers,
tau still with stones and spears,
dark eldar probally still more similar to pre fall eldar,
orks a lot stronger and bigger tha 40k ork,
during the great crusade the imperium fighted against a lot of different xenos races and other humans, but forge world don't have created rule/model for them.
  3. Sorry, but there's some mis-information there.

The Eldar fell at least two centuries before the Heresy broke out. Yet even then the Craftworlds had been escaping the core of their Empire for many years, and the Exodites were well established by the time the Fall occurred.

Necrons were mostly asleep, but there is some indication that agents of the Silent King were around and that Tomb Worlds were awakening. Trazyn The Infinite even had items in his collection he had collected from the Imperium before M41.

Dark Eldar were about, there's even a short story of Space Wolves facing against them during the Great Crusade.

    You're right about Orks.
Plus the other Xenos and non-Imperial Humans.
  4. How did the Orks not crush the Imperium during the Heresy? I feel like having to fight two fronts after losing a huge chunk(half?) of their elite fighting force to a rebellion would have been a death sentence.

No Waaagh's goin on for 10k years?

I assumed the Orks were in a bit of recovery period during the Heresy and Scouring after which the Imperium was recovered enough to hold them off.
  6. The last great Ork Empire, and the biggest, that was taken out during the Great Crusade was based around Ullanor.
As in 'The Triumph Of Ullanor'!

The last great Ork offensive was by The Beast, and that was a few millennia after the Heresy.

Remember imperium gets +100 to plot armor saves.

an ork during the great crusade almost killed the emperor, horus saved him. (not on ullanor).
