Stratagems and Command Points in 8th Edition. https://www.warhammer-community.com...mer-40000-stratagems-may14gw-homepage-post-4/ Battle-Forged armies earn Command Points due to the idea of how, background-wise, efficient they are at the logistics of war. Armies which are balanced, with a mix of unit types and plenty of troops will tend to have more CPs to play with. Every army that is Battle-Forged gets at least 3 CPs. Plus some units are counted as being so capable and experienced that you gain additional CPs by including them in your army. Bjorn the Fell-Handed is such an example, providing an additional CP. As the game plays, you can use these Command Points to activate a variety of Stratagems. Many of them are specific to the mission type, or to the Faction. But three are available for all armies. In Narrative and Open Play , most missions will include a few extra Stratagems representing instances like Preliminary Bombardments, Proximity Mines, and Silenced Weapons. Matched Play has the restriction that the same Stratagem cannot be used by the same player more than once during any single phase.
I hope we get faction unique stratagems Eldar could for example pay 1cp for a guaranteed advance of a 6 for a single unit or pay 2cp for minimal auto pass of a spell(so only d3 for smite no d6 possible for example) Marines could have 1cp to give a drop pod no scatter or 2cp to fire all of a tanks gun after moving flat out etc.
Missed that one word under Bjourn lol That's pretty hype then, should spice up armies that much more, especially between chapters
How do you feel about the possibility of Chaos Tau? *Fourth Sphere Expansion Fleet* https://www.warhammer-community.com...00-war-zone-damocles-may13gw-homepage-post-4/
I will cower in fear if they man up and fight in melee from warp mutations, angry fish with pincers come to mind lol It's also possible that having a small signature in the warp they get a resistance to warp mutation or corruption or something silly and the survivors when they return would be experienced Tau daemon hunters.
Not that I would put it past GW, I don't think that having a smaller soul would be all that benificial for warp resistance. Now for flying under the radar, sure, it makes sense it'd be harder for daemons to detect them, and have way less interest in them, but as far as being able to actually fight a daemon on a metaphysical level their lack of "soul power", for lack of a better word, should only make it easier for the daemon to dominate them. Though I mean on the other hand we did have Tau flash banging Vidicare Assassins and melee fighting Astartes, so they may do something dumb like make them super warp resistant for basically no reason.

Mark 8 Armour with Mark 4 Retro helmet. At least easy to convert to actual Mark 8 with a Mark 7 helmet. But how is it Mark 10? Where is Mark 9, gone with Windows 9? So you can have normal "regular truescale" marines with just keeping the old helms for Mark 8 look.
