Huh? They get Super Heavies, like the Stormhammer, fast Malcador's, Volkite weapons, like that on the Leman Russ Incinerator, Rapiers, and stuff like a squad all armed with flamers. They're at least as good as the Astra Militarum.
More warlord traits would be welcome, as the current one's are a bit meh, in my opinion. New psychic powers sound interesting, new relics, yea, why not... But the pistol... You forgot the factor of Hellfrost in it as well. Wound a multi-wound model and he'll have to take a strength test or be killed outright! While it's powerful AS ALL HELL, could even take down vehicles with that shit! I mean, come on, that's stronger than a KRAK-MISSILE! Comparing it with other weapons: Krak-missile: 48" S8 AP3 Helfrost DESTRUCTOR (focused): 24" S8 AP1, Lance Lascannon: 48" S9 AP2 Plasma cannon: 36" S7 AP2, blast Meltagun: 12" S8 AP1 The pistol outperforms heavy weapons in all aspects, except range! Hell, it's as strong as a frickin' Helfrost cannon, but confined to the small space of a pistol! And don't give me the crap about plasma cannon/pistol, the cannon has a blast, and thus way more damage potential with it's AoE! While I find the pistol being a holy fuck jeesus save me nao -kind of weapon (imagine dual-wielding that shite, and you'll have something more dangerous than a meltagun (drop-podding wolf guards with dual-wields, anyone?)), I find it to be EXTREMELY odd, fluff-wise. All that power, in the size of a pistol? Come on, fellas... Really?
It's at least HH era Tech, possibly DAoT tech, which can make it stupidly powerful compared to 40K tech. You just have to look at Volkites to see what I mean. Powerful, common in HH but very rare in 40K.

You mean a faction that only has the Solar Auxilia with official models, whilst the Imperial Army Militia is meant to be built with mainly 40K IG models. So besides the Solar Auxilia, it almost sounds like you're saying that IG models in 40K are great, but put them in 30K and they suddenly turn to rubbish?
