Some of your founders are Eldar and Ork players, y'know.

  2. And? Starting with both flavours of Space Marine was the logical choice as they use the same animations, while the other two will need to be uniquely tweeked to look more, alien.

You guys forgot to mansion that Ulthwe Black Guardians aren't just a defensive militia. They are more highly-trained compared to standard Guardians and form the bulk of the Craftworld standing army...

It would be a bit odd to introduce an Ulthwe-specific unit that can be summarised as "Dire Avengers, but a bit bad." though.

Agreed, i was just pointing one that fact.

I will just say that feelings on Behaviour's decision are extremely mixed and there are, as with all things, pros and cons.. I can see the both points of view and despite Behaviour having limited resources and this being a beneficial choice firstly to Marine players and secondly to those of us who just want to get our hands on something playable I don't think Xenos players can really help but feel a little bit neglected.. even where there is perfectly sound reasoning behind the decision.

Now.. I will definitely play both Marines and Chaos (mostly for the Sorceror) in my spare time or when my Guild mates aren't really around.. but they are far from my main race.. still a Sorceror class may be enough to keep me sated for now.. but there are many other players who don't share my view.

Back on topic of Guardians, Jabba is right Black Guardians are important to mention fluff-wise.. It is unlikely they'll add them as a class but for the sake of discussion it is a good point.

I would like to see Guardians as sort of engineer corps.

They do have weapon platforms, which would allow creation of strongpoints "on the fly". Pilot battle tanks and War Walkers (those most likely will be "Classes" of their own if we follow PS2 route, but it would be nice to see them as "branch" of Guardians), may be even set up temporary fortifications such as one-way energy shields they did have in DoW to thwart frontal assaults, albeit this can get dirty fairly quickly and should be treated with care. And, with their grenades (plasma as well as defensive), and basic guns same as Avengers, Guardians would definitely be able to contribute to assaults.

Before reading my responses, kmow that i have been an avid player of 40k since its first (complete) rules compellation, known as 2nd edition. All my views are based on my opinion and knowledge of warhammer since that point.

This explanation is somewhat correct, but I kindly disagree with the following

In the fluff the basic eldar guardian is slightly stonger than the average human guardsman, as fast and often more agile than some spacemarines, and depending on background of their lives more experienced than human guardsmen vets. I honestly wish that guardians were playable as a quicker respawn character choice. The basic guardian is better trained and more skilled than most other races basic troops. The support of why I say this is that, according to fluff, guardians are often trained in numerous aspects of war, but are technically in an off phase or reserve status if you will. Eldar live hundreds of years and often go through several aspects during their life (aspects of art, war, philosophy, farming, etc.) to keep their minds occupied and safe from falling into the temptations that brought demise to their once mighty empire. As such most have been Dire Avengers, Scorpions, Banshees, Reapers or some other form of aspect and therefore are more than capable of battlefield roles albeit less equipped than those who are actively involved in the aspect shrines.
if the game was a progressive MMO style to unlock options I would argue that guardians would be defacto and that after a certain level of kills or objective types they would progress to the aspect type they qualify for and that if a player wanted ro undergo an aspect change they would retain some of the skills from previous aspects (although at a reduced skill level) while playing as a guardian. I would also say that if the unlockable class system/skill tree system were used the type of Warlock powers and skill you could choose from should depend on the aspects played as well.
    Just my thoughts.

I really like this idea. Think it would go well with the suggestions I made earlier. At least your ideas fit better to what EC's developers have mentioned for character progression. (not forcing players to play to certain roles before accessing different role types (ie: Scout-Marine-Terminator, Guardian-Aspect-Seer{warlock}, Boyz-Boyz subtype-Nob).
