Only vote/comment if you've played as Orks and driven these vehicles. Because, you have no idea what the hell its like until you do. Other than ordinance, I really like the "ice skating" style to the ork vehicles. Lot of fun to drive, more challenging, and you can do so fun donuts. HOWEVER, they are not noob friendly. It is absolutely horrifying and destroys the team when you have a new driver behind the wheel. I have seen 4 car pileups at a gate because of noob drivers.....hilarious, but basically the match is now lost. These vehicles should really have some slight tweaks to make them less Disney on Ice and more like an actual car. You know a car, where you can rotate the wheels before and during movement to steer.....not like how it is now where the vehicle must be moving just to start to engage steering. Now on to the gripe about ordinance.....it takes on average 4 turns to get the main gun centered to a target as small as a tank. 4 Turns....which unfortunately with the current game design requires the vehicle to be in a forward or backward motion to turn. Despite it visibly having tank treads....it drives worse than a snowmobile on ice. It is pretty much pure luck if you get it lined up on a quad turret. Please vote on your feelings (up to 2 options can be selected) for a solid fix on ordinance to keep them Orky, but make them a little more functional.
I don't think a dev tried to drive one once honestly. It's honestly one of the worst driving setups I've experienced.
Make the explosion bigger with a faster reload but less damage to vehicles. Since it is so hard to line up on gates give it more wiggle room on its ability to hit the gate. Then with bigger blast make it so it needs a direct hit to destroy an enemy tank or quad and two indirect hits to destroy. Thats based on sm vehicles. Eldar vehicles being squishier is already negated by them being able to out maneuver a shot.
Maneuverability of Trukks is a problem. Sure with some practice one can drive them. But it's awful, you continuously get stuck against rocks or flip on one side as you touch an obstacle.
One the bright side, if two wheels are touching the ground you can still drive. Driving to a point sideways was very satisfying/hilarious.
Ork ordinance is nearly impossible to use at any reasonable range. Not being able to turn in place combined with the incredibly weird turning delay thing that makes me overturn into walls constantly makes ork vehicles frustrating to deal with. It's no wonder you see so many ork vehicles abandoned and parked so often, and getting destroyed so often too. I don't like the idea of adjusting the blast radius or vehicle damage of their ordinance, though. It would just make destroying wall turrets that much more impossible. Giving it the ability to turn in place like a tank seems like a slam dunk to me. It even has tank tracks on the model too so it would make sense.
Is it me or are the trucks REALLY top heavy and topple over? Either that or they just slide around too much. Also who the hell decided the guntrukks sponsons were a good idea? 30' arc for each side and can barely look up or down? I know ork designs are weird by crux of them being orks but that's just beyond stupid for a number of reasons
The Trukks definitely feel too light and the center of gravity seems to high. Tanks get instead stuck and turn even if one of the side guns touches a rock or a wall. Now I'm all for having low-maneuverability vehicles for Orks but this is actually too much... They should at least balance it by increasing for instance the ramming force. That wouls make them very unique and "orky".
Interesting idea, bit disappointing the ork vehicles need to do 3 point turns to turn around as well, as opposed to everyone else who can just pivot 180'
