Actually, I'd put the Marines of the Legion of The Damned above the Grey Knights. And I still don't really want to see either. GK are op lore fodder that have no place in game.
Grey Knights have every right to be in EC as long as Chaos is in the game. If Chaos Space Marines ever get the ability to use/summon any Daemon bound equipment/class, that just gives even more of a reason for them to be in the game.
Cause this game is focused, thus balanced for PvP, hence you won't see classes for PvE which are unavailable for PvP. Makes sens, isn't it ? Grey Knights are overhyped anyway, read more lore you'll see how boring they should be if they were playable. Not to mention a GK army is weak compared to a sm one cause they are made to face daemons, and daemons only, which means they have poor anti heavy armors and vehicules. A GK army absolutely needs to deploy vehicules with anti armor to deal with enemy armors or range heavy infantry or they are screwed... since barely all daemons attack at melee range.
As much as I would love to play a grey knight in the game, I'm either going to have to say not include them in the game or make them an elite/hero class or something of the sort that cost resources. I would rather play the grey knights that I know and love rather than a watered down version just so I can look like one. Also, even though Chaos is implemented in the game doesn't mean the grey knights are automatically going to be around to fight them, sometimes the Space Marines have to take care of things themselves.
Yea, because we so need overly strong Space Marines that only deal with one type of enemy. That require mind wipes and death of their friendly forces if you see/fight with one. Sure, need tons of them 'round!
As much as don't want to cause hatered but didn't I go trough this balance issue what you guys seem to have in your heads? Did something special happen from last time we stopped fighting over this who has a bigger something and how things really are?
Again, Mind wipes are used by the Inquisition on any one that fights Chaos, not any one that sees a Grey Knight. That is the way it always has been. It just so happens that that 4 "chapters" of that one type of enemy is already in EC. And others (armies, and "chapters") are likely to be added. I wouldn't worry about that, Black Templars will most likely get added before Grey Knights do.
