Yes, dropping a grenade at your own feet is incredibly skillful. It's very, very difficult to pull off aiming directly downward and pressing the Grenade button once.
I'm sorry I cheated you out of what is essentially a free glory kill the moment you lunge my effective bolter distance in a single bound, It's hardly a good fight when the combat knife faints the moment someone looks at it funny. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to throw down with the Tactical marine, or play a Devastator and play a cat and mouse game of trying to escape you, but we currently don't have the tools to put up an actual good fight, right now it feels like everyone has become a Tau Fire warrior without the advantage of hard hitting long range weaponry.
I don't know what that euphemism means, but frankly, if you want melee users like myself to defend this kind of thing and keep suggesting that melee is overpowered and pushing for ranged to be more powerful whenever the subject comes up, it'd help if you stopped referring to people who play melee classes as, "RMB-spamming shitters." Because insulting melee users is not going to get them on your side, and it makes me less inclined to even care that ranged is underpowered.
You are taking this far too seriously. It was merely a jest. The story (true btw) simply highlights the fact that cheez is being countered by cheez. Melee don't like this tactic? That's fine, make them put in a little effort to earn the kill.
Methinks it was a turn o' phrase re-purposed from th' phrase "Pull the stick outta yer ass", but changed it ta' suit th' portrait ye use in yer profile which can be taken ta' be a sort o' aquatic creature, hence his phrase "Take the hook out of your mouth". Since he was bein' facetious in his mentions o' skill
Personally I'd be in favor of ranged being able to offer enough of a fight in melee to be able to take down a melee after softening them up with shooting first. I've also heard from one particular Eldar player who always plays a Fire Dragon because he claims he's skilled enough at EC's melee that the combat knife is a sufficiently powerful melee weapon for him, and he claims he's taken down melee specialists with it. I found it hard to believe, but I don't doubt that there are at least a few people who are skilled enough at EC's melee system to make his choices work. Maybe ranged weapons just need to deal more damage, and knives need to be more durable, to the point where a ranged is more able to take a melee on. Of course, since melee needs to be viable too, it shouldn't be an auto-win for the ranged, and fine-tuning exactly how much damage a ranged is able to pump into a melee is probably a very delicate process with a crapload of variables for each engagement that make a 50/50 chance of winning as either one incredibly difficult to achieve. One thing they could do is to make the rooms that objectives are in larger and more open, so ranged classes have more room to work with.
She's a dragoness. They're reptiles of the lizard variety. Her particular variety of dragon is not aquatic.
