Actually I be less tactical and more in it fer da boom. Booms be fun. I'll toss a bomb and stand on it even afta' dat bloke has backed off, that be why I started gettin' all stelfy wit' it. It became predictable. Gotta add some rolls and wot not ta' th' mix I don't mind suicidin' and wot 'ave ye. I'll foight inside me poison bomb as a dok. Shoot th' ground at me feet wit' me rokkit er kannon if'n that be wot it takes. I'd even be gud wit' 'avin' a stikky bomb tossed on me so I can run inta' a mob o' enemies If'n I win, I win. If'n I die, it don't count 'cause I died foightin'. If'n I run away, dat don't count neitha' 'cause I can come back fer anuvva' go! It be less 'bout tactics and more 'bout havin' a WAAAGH! o' a time fer me. Why join a WAAAGH! if'n ye ain't gonna enjoy yerself?
When I do it I try ta' do so when eitha' we'z all be stuck in er when I be alone er out o' da way... th' same can't be said fer th' wayz I use me rokkit launcha'. I'll take risks shootin' inta' melee combat, albeit I try me darned best ta' aim more towards dat unorky fella'
As a tactical marines only recourse to a melee type deciding they need to die I think I'll keep on doing it. Don't like it, don't get close. I can't dodge, I can't fight back, I can't run. I can drop a grenade and hopefully position you over it. If anything I'd say that takes more skill+luck than melee. First you have to drop the grenade, which with action interrupts and the clunky grenade dropping mechanics, is a pain then you have to roll away from the grenade, in exactly the right way to make the Melee guy stand on it. And if the Melee guy is going to ignore the giant neon "Hey! there's a grenade here!" indicator on the screen they gets their just rewards. Is it so hard to move three feet to the left then continue the attack?
It's ok, he put me on his block list (so he says) a way long time ago for making fun of him constantly making "the sky is falling and melee is doomed" threads. So really, I'm just humoring myself more than anything.
Hah, I can understand that. He blocked me about 6 months ago when I was explaining he didn't know how to duel and thought he "won" by attacking while the other person was typing before they started. I wonder what the forums look like to him? He seems to have blocked an awful lot of people, always those who disagree with him.
Who knows, that's his problem I guess, not mine. Besides, it must of worked somehow because last I checked his precious "doomed" melee is completely slaughtering every ranged character in the game.
