I heard that in fairly early online shooter games, a lot of people playing snipers had so little situational awareness that an enemy would frequently end up behind them, take a few moments to decide which weapon they were going to kill them with, and then do so. Of course apparently it sometimes backfired when it turned out said sniper was wearing headphones for his game sound, heard your footsteps, and whipped around to OHK you while you were sneaking in for a melee kill.
That happens in this game If you ever manage to flank a defensive wall of braced heavy weapons, it's a like an exp buffet. Just stroll down the line knifing as you go.
Usually they do notice me, actually. And then their combined firepower takes me down after only 1 or 2 of them die.
What I don't get is how the hell they do it. Whenever I try as an ork when I get hit the throw cancels and then I just die. Meanwhile Space Marines of both sorts are effectively walking around with bomb vests in addition to their regular weapons.
I prefa' me characta's ta' not look eitha' which way. Big, clunky, and looks loik it wuz cobbled ta'getha'. That be wot I loik
I try and hide th' grenade throw durin' th' melee. It don't work out all th' time. I'll also sometimes start zoggin' it and throw th' grenade in front o' me so they don't quite notice it. Then ye stand yer ground ova' th' bomb while dey lunge at ya
I cannot fault your tactical decisions. Grenades are really the only answer ranged have to any melee class that gets within hitting range.
The best part is when people become so used to it, they end up using the trick reflexively in situations where it's unbelievably stupid doing so. Had some guy dropping a grenade on the devastators bridge in Agnathio when I jumped in, killing himself, me and 3 others guy...
Is this confirmed for airborne classes too? I've yet to be stuck with a Sticky Grenade / Melta Bomb since this was implemented on a class that doesn't use stamina to evade yet. Or is this just for ground based stamina classes.
