Guys...pulling a grenade and throwing it at your own feet as last resort when someone gets to you in close combat is...like a 6 year old screaming "I waaaaant" in a candy shop. If you think thats ok...as long as this software allows it...enjoy. Just remember...I know I made you do it, you know your a bad loser. Quote from a random gamer in 2018: "Eternal Crusade? Wasnt that the game where SpaceMarines threw grenades at themselves to deny a kill? I remember...lol."
In some PvP games, players fling their characters off cliffs or into lethal terrain to deny enemies a kill. The grenade thing isn't THAT unusual, is it?
If that's what you have to tell yourself to make yourself feel better as you wait out the 15 seconds to respawn from another suicide grenade, then whatever
I see it more as a you're coming with me grenade and know that I have a large smile on my face when that melta takes you with me, you melee spamming piranha!
For me...dude..it is! Specially after reading all those Novels about Space Marines (that are awesome)...but that might be just me. How'd you want me to take those serious anymore? - Sir! The Tyranids...in uncounted numbers! - Riiight! Finaly our day has come! Everyone! pull your nades! For the Emperor!!!!!!! KaaawWwaaboooOOOOooom...
I've posted many times about how complete BS this is, no response and nothing has changed so I don't expect it will.
It's not all that hard to imagine a dying marine, defiantly dropping a krak grenade at the feet of the enemy as a final act of service to the Emperor.
Given how OP melee is and how ineffective ranged weapons are at stopping them, I'm actually not surprised by the grenade thing. When a melee reaches a ranged class, the ranged guy is dead. He can't run. He can't fight. He is totally fethed unless a friendly melee comes in and saves him, and even then he's probably still going to die by the time that buddy can down the enemy. So when ranged learn that a melee reaching melee range is essentially an unavoidable death, why the hell wouldn't they drop a grenade at their own feet? They'd die anyways, and this way they take an enemy with them. There's no downside.
