Although it would be an interesting "plot device" like Space Marine had. Manufactorums are MASSIVE and usually take up the entire surface of said planet. Also, how would they explain the absence of the BILLIONS of people working there?
  2. well this are details we have to think over
maybe make the big part underground and not accessable for the player and have some defence for the facility at the surface
explanation could be using the heat of the planetcore as resource or some dangerous weather/sun eruptions forced the builder to go underground as he started to build it
or they go underground to hide from the factions which now investigated the world

Your idea would be perfect with the idea of doing PvE "Dungeons" in the fact that they could be underground in the ruined manufactorum! : ]

To be honest, other than range, missile launchers, grenade launchers, grenades and mortar launchers should all be dealt with in the same way and there is no real difference in the damage ratings ect.

Grenades/stikk bombs should be ammo in the same way that missiles are for the missile launcher or a grenade launcher. A finite amount, that you have to purchase in packs and when they're gone you have to go and buy some new ones.

Also thinking about it, what the difference between a unit spamming frag grenades and a SM/CSM continually firing a stormbolter? The range is roughly the same, the strength of the weapons are the same and the only difference is the grenade is AOE and the stormbolter is an automatic weapon that can hit multiple targets, or concentrate on a single target with multiple hits.
  6. Smells like a grenade fest going about.
  7. how about letting unused grenades explode if the wearer get deadly hit by an energieweapon?

No thanks, otherwise you'd have to include those rules for missile launchers and any other weapon with explosive ammo.
  9. So long as they work like GRENADES and not the stupid...*things* that Space Marine had, I don't care.

Honestly, they didn't even LOOK like grenades, who on that Dev team was high when they designed those things? Ugh...
  10. At first I'm guessing frag but nothing else.
