Allow me to introduce my self. My nickname is Siveon I'm a 28 year old male from Portugal with over 16 year in general gaming experience. My favorite game genres are FPS, RTS and RPG's. Not really a fan of platform games unless they have a decent component of one of the above mentioned genres. I think my first encounter with the WH universe was either the Dawn of War or the WAR: Online, been a fan ever since and as such I was immensely disappointed when I Dark Millennium was scrapped... but then came EC. Occupation I'm currently finishing my computer science degree with focus on programming, just need to find an internship for next semester(*Looks at Patrick and winks*), after which I will hopefully make my way into the gaming industry which has been a passion of mine since I created my first "hello world". Hobbies Well gaming is obvious, but I haven't had that much time recently due to college projects. Ever since I started college, sports has dropped of my list but I do still can not say no if someone asks me to play some water-sport(like kayaking) or rugby.
Greeting Siveon. I too am what you could call a programmer (although barely) but only for a hobbie. I have played Warhammer 40K minitures for the past few years and was really happy when I saw Eternal Crusade. Which race will you play at launch (or before). *Hint, hint, Eldar!*
I'm either SM or Eldar. In all honesty my knowledge of Eldar isn't that extensive. I blame the devs that mainly focus SM vs CSM on their games. I find the Eldar technology somewhat alluring which is the same reason I play as Vanu in Planetside 2, plus I heard that Eldar in EC will be slightly more "stealthy", relying more on hit-and-run tactics where cover is more valued which more akin to my gameplay style.
Funnily enough, my first encounter with the Warhammer 40k series was Dawn of War as well, that game was pretty awesome and still one of my favorites. oh and also, welcome to the forums!
Welcome Siveon if you play Eldar I will see you in game maybe? But I am sure there will be servers for different countries to prevent lag, so maybe not
I think my girlfriend prefers Eldar as well which increases the chances that I'll play Eldar. There will be only 1 universal server from what I know... how will they manage latency, I'm not sure.
