I don't get why people won't acknowledge the whole, killing the emperor and toppling the entire imperium into madness and failure, thing. That was pretty "great" people... pretty great indeed!
Obviously its Ultramarines. Have you seen their Primarch, Matt Ward? That guy is Powerful let me tell you.

That is pretty great, but I consider the Word Bearers to be more like 10 chapters
More like twenty according to the Word Bearers omnibus, and not counting outliers. The Chaos Legions aren't really eligable for this because they are much bigger then any chapter, even the shattered legions like the World Eaters were able to muster 50,000 soldiers in 38M, far outstripping the size of any one Astartes organization in the Imperium. Even the one accused of Legion building, you know the one.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! you must not speak of the ward (sorry! i don't really mind talking about him.but he is the bastard that ruined Ultramarines for me) and my favorite chapter is Blood Ravens. here is why they might be the loyal thousand sons or one of the lost legion (this theory is less possible these days) they have all sorts of relics from other chapters and the imperium. primarch weapons who else in the whole imperium can say they have custodes Armour(may be thats why custodes don't ware any armour, because they don't have any) hell they might as well have one or two relics of Vulkan hiddin in their battle barge
Oh Night Lords, I just like them because of their Lightning Armour, that and their prim arch. I guess a corrupted sense of justice is what many people can relate to.
Blood Angels for me They are the Noblest and possibly powerful of the loyalist, respected by all, ranging from Ultramarines to Space Wolves, the Angels may the greatest chapter because. Sanguinius - Mighty Primarch he is, even Horus himself wish he was the Warmaster instead of him, and even at the depth of his heresy, he wished Sanguinius as his one of his general, Horus was also afraid of Sanguinius the most than the other primarchs, even Kyriss the Demon played on Horus's fear on Sanguinius: "that Sanguinius was the only one of the Primarchs, who, if turned, would have a chance of finding greater favour with the Gods of Chaos than Horus himself", his charisma, humility (bowing before the Emperor during their first meeting), and great love for the Emperor to the point of sacrificing himself (plus knowing he was going to die) has brought him a great deal of reverence, and his sacrifice ensured the Emperor's victory by making a chink in Horus' armor. Blood Angels - The BA's are known for their bloodthirsty and melee oriented like a certain Traitor warband, they were excellent shock-troopers and shared a friendly rival with the War Hounds, they are the angels of death with heroes of legends among their ranks, they are also one of few chapters that care for civilian casualties (1st being the Salamanders, cause they are the bros of the 41st Century) Dante - Living for 1,300 standard years, Lord Commander Cervan Dante is a legend among legends, he is the oldest space marine around (with the exception on those encased on dreadnoughts or anything that extends human life) and is held in awe by leaders of other chapters (Even Marneus Calgar, Tu'shan and Logan Grimnar respect the guy), who can remember him being a famous commander when they in the scout companies, unlike other leaders, Dante was chosen as Chapter Master due to him being the only surviving officer/Captain in the Blood Angels after a devastating battle that many of them including the chapter master, he was never destined to be a commander, and many in the Angel ranks thought he would bring them defeat, but he defied odds and lead the Angels to the caress of victory, Dante's name is like whispering the name of living saint, hero among heroes, he even clove the mighty SKARBAND in FREAKING HALF, he has seen the Angels in their most highest of highs and lowest of lows, Dante became a great leader not because he was great but because he knows how to get shit done, he has seen countless horrors that would make even an Space Marine go mad, and honestly, he want's to retired, but the vision of Sanguinius told his sons of 'a Golden warrior standing between the Traitor Horde and the emperor', and that vision is what keeps him going, a personal motivator. Death Company - BA's that succumbed to the sickness of the Red Thirst and the Black Rage and are now insane bat-shit crazy space marines that won't stop until they kill all those who oppose the imperium, heck even you tear of every part of their limbs, they'll come crawling to you using their mouths, just to rip you apart, they are very dangerous and highly uncontrollable, only a chaplain or out-right Astorath can command them Sanguinary Guard - Angels in space . . . nuff said. Sanguinor - Among the legends of the Blood Angels, none has captivate the audience than the legendary Sanguinor himself, whose deeds are more than legendary, just the mere sight of him gives hope to a SM who has given up hope, he appears at the Angel's dire times and need and his greatest rival is the Bloodthirster Ka'Bandha, during the Khartas Incident, he flew with the Demon up to the planet's exosphere and HURLED him so hard back down that it made a crater, he is also a symbol of hope among the BA's, even to Dante himself.
