So you're saying they did do what I asked(not that they actually were like lets do what he says) and increased TTK on Vehicles and decreased TTK on Infantry(in the sense of ease of application from longer distances and more uptime)? You mean they like...balanced the gun out?
Essentially, it's not a combi bolter certainly but it's a solid weapon if someones not paying attention or just plain has bad aim. Plus melta damage still stacks, so if a meltagun squad is running they are actually more effective vs a Rhino because the damage application works at any range. It gives people a reason to equip a multi melta as the only weapon that can single overheat a tank still too.
Did they? Or did they just make a tool to roast all the melee players and the Bolter will see more action to counter Melta users?
I think melta now fills the spot of flamethrower as well... I guess they don't have resources to make flamethrowers.
No. because they didn't change the heat drop off on infantry, they just extended the range. Melee users can still close the gap faster than a melta can kill them . Also melta were never meant to be anti-infantry. they made the premier tank killer bad at killing tanks
So now you'z gitz 'ave to work az 'ard az Orkz t' kill a tink wiff our zoggin missle launcha's, less QQ more pew pew ya runtz!
How can you burn them WHEN THE MULTIMELTA IS A FUCKING GLORIFIED CANDLE COMPARED TO ITS COMPATRIOT I dunno man. I just really liked using the MM. It wasn't great, but if you were stupid enough to get close and not interrupt me...you got melted and the burning noises when people died was amazing. I could intimidate even though 30m is shit actual range. Maybe I'm just in a lot of pain. Maybe I'm just hungry. I do know though that it is just really fucking disappointing to have the HEAVY version of a weapon be objectively worse than the normal one. Because of all the other factors surrounding it
