No. There is no truth to your statement. The correct answer is both parties take turns fucking you in different ways, for different interest groups. Also the article states that it was the Democrats on the board that approved it initially.

Whats wrong with discussing politics? I mean sure it ends up pissing people off, but hey this is the internet after all. I mean for now. Besides, I find it interesting the correlation between real world ideology and faction preference.
As the latest article of Popular Science stated, the Internet is slowly expanding away from being a mostly free tool/accessory as businesses/governments/other people become more aware and create/install new tools to monitor and control access. As this progresses, the freedom of browsing begins to become limited as people look for security to protect themselves from prying eyes. Even on this very forum, if you really check the source to see who/what is monitoring you, you will see that you were never alone at all. EVERYTHING YOU TYPE IS BEING MONITORED! EVERYWHERE YOU GO IS BEING WATCHED! EVERYTHING YOU THINK IS BEING RECORDED! Just kidding...or am I? Anyway, the Internet will slowly be fought over just like a political boundary and therefore, will become even harder to have open boundaries. It's how everything starts and ends. Political boundaries start open but slowly become more and more closed, even against those who are allies due to people wanting to be nosy in other peoples business but not having the same done to them. In the end, we should all take advantage of what we have now before we lost it all, bit by priceless bit. Next thing you know the Internet will be dubbed a full fledged battleground in more than just games...
