nobody know that, because logic don't really work in war 40k, we know that the emperor is not dead and like all the perpatual can regeneate any damage because is a perpetual, but at the same time the golden throne consume who use it. so if thr golden throne stop working the emperor can regenerate, but how fast? and what can do the emperor against the demons coming from the broken webway? yes the designed candidate was magnus: "hey my loved son do you want to sit FOREVER on the golden throne while i rule the galaxy? i give you a lot of read stuff and free wii fii actually you become the wii fii!"
There was something about the lost Emperor's non-labor children, wasn't it? Maybe they can ask Magnus kindly Yeah I think too the Emperor is holding the status quo there, changing this would end in the win or loss of humankind.
I thought Horus' wounding of the Emperor somehow messed with his regeneration. I think if Magnus actually went and sat in front of the Emperor, he could probably commune with his psychic presence. Might decide to see what happens and sit on the throne.
I'm pretty sure that the Emperor just wants to be killed so he can get his ass off of that throne, and come back perpetually good as new. The Astronomican beacon is just him venting his anger through his mind
The problem is even if he reincarnated, and there's a good chance he won't be, it would disconnect him from the Golden Throne. No Emperor on the Throne=No Imperium of Man. It's largely why the inquisition actually doesn't want him to come back, the resulting conflict could wipe out the human race rather then save it. They need the Astronomican for guidance, it's the only thing keeping afloat.
Or he could finish the human webway, thus no need for the Astronomican. Everything we all could come up with is merely speculation. At the end of the day it would purely be up to GW what would happen in that event, or even if that event will occur .
