Godzilla needs a good, dedicated game.

There's nothing that beats being a giant monster and destroying stuff and attacking other monsters.

But we haven't had a good Godzilla game in this recent time that featured many if not all the monsters. I remember playing Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee on the Gamecube. Nostalgic, but the game only featured twelve monsters, excluding the two non-playable monsters, Mothra and Hedorah.

The most recent Godzilla game (that I recall) isn't that good and hasn't had much thought or love put into it and was made for a quick buck. I think it's time we have another new legitimate game that runs on current-gen (almost said next gen xD) tech.

I mean, wouldn't it be cool to spectate a match as a helicopter or tank in the military? Would give a feel of the size and scale of the fight, and with what they can do now with current-gen tech, I would LOVE to see a current-gen Godzilla game. What say you?

Try the old ps2 War of the monsters. Made a monster arena with like 20 or so monsters based on old B movie monsters. Godzilla clone was called togera

    Loved that game.
  4. It's one of those sad mysteries about gaming. Godzilla should be ripe for fantastic releases of all kinds, but for some reason it keeps being farmed out to those who either don't have the talent or budget to actually do the franchise justice. It's had its hits to be sure, but there's been no truly outstanding classic in the franchise, at least in my opinion.

As said in the OP, who DOESN'T want to go around smashing stuff as a giant monster and punching the crap outta another monster?

Someone timed the newest godzilla movie for scene length with godzilla actually in it. It was ~11minutes total of the whole movie...that just makes me sad.

I would suggest the sequel to Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee, Godzilla: Save the Earth, an amazing game that is essentially a refined version of Destroy All Monsters Melee with a few additions as well as 19 playable monsters.

Plus the Destroy all Monsters intro may have been cool, but get a load of this shit:
