Hi everyone I am Psyctooth (Psyctooff) From NSW Australia I love Warhammer 40 000 and was a hobbyist from about 12 years ago but recently got back into the hobby, 13 years ago I started playing Warhammer 40 000 when a friend of mine showed off his Blood Angels and Dark Eldar to me, I thought it was awesome cool and he even gave me one of his unpainted tactical marines to keep! I painted it and I got to keep it which was awesome of him! I then decided to collect some Blood Angels (back in the glory end days of 3rd edition, how you will be forever remembered... ah good old plain boring 3rd edition ), after that I looked for an army which was easier to paint than blood angels (self monolog: Really Psyctooth?)... And after subscribing to White Dwarf for a couple of years and reading up on the lore (back then there was very little on the internet concerning Warhammer 40 000 outside of Games Workshop's website, btw did you know they used to have a forum back then? Yep they did! It was the old style of forums, looks a lot like Reddit). I decided to collect Necrons when they released their first Codex and full army edition, I purchased the limited edition Necron Army Box in 2002. And it was the first army I actually bothered to almost fully paint, I spent way too much time focused on playing games on my N64 and Gameboy. After that I left the hobby, due to the costs and not being able to afford it. After about 9 years I decided to return to it and collect Orks! I still have a small place in my heart for 4th edition Necrons though. In that 8 year period my love for Warhammer 40 000 didn't diminish, I played all the Dawn of War games as well as Space Marine in that time and met some of my current good friends though the Dawn of War games and also though modding Dawn of War, rediscovered my love for programming when I did a lot of Lua scripting in SCAR. I've been a video gamer since I was 7 years old, so that's a good 20 years now, I've played games on the Commadore 64, 386/486 PC all the way up to the PS3/Xbox 360 and of course my current modern PC. I wish I could say I've played more games then I can count or remember, but money used to be a real constant for me when I was a kid, couldn't get everything I wanted, but when you usually get something you want, you end up wanting something else. I have to say my craving to try out new video games is unending, I'd say it's one of my weaknesses. I could say that I have played enough games that I can fill bookshelves with the games I own. Out of all the games I have ever played, my favorite still is Banjo Kazooie. It I believe is one of the greatest games ever made, a close second would be Mario 64 and a third Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. I'd say my guilty pleasure is Paper Mario. And yes I am a Nintendo fanboy, well I used to be anyway, kind of moved on. I love anime, but I do not like moe, don't ask my opinion on it. I also am rather laid back and relaxed about things and opinions, I have my likes and dislikes and I am also excepting of multiple things, I love all mecha without discrimination, I love both Battletech AND Gundam equally... (now there is a feat ) for instance. I also play Magic the Gathering and I consider myself to have a healthy love (or unhealthy, depends on how you look at it) for both role-playing games, table top games, card games and computer games alike. My dream is to become a game designer and I am currently studying game programming in C++ and on my first year and working on my first game, next year I'll be learning network programming and game engine programming. I haven't always gone by the name of Psyctooth, but if anyone knows who I used to be, you get a cookie.
