The part of me that hates Aimbots and the overall community of CoD ( Even though, ideally this game will need to absorb some for PINGAS $$$ ), absolutely loved everything you wrote there. Especially the name you gave. I can tell you went into your memory banks, jammed together all the most mainstream and homoerotic style names you found... And put them into one. Oh, and of course the part about corner camping, backpeddling and fearful players, who don't strike until a teamate has died. To be fair, Requisition of higher powered units, controllable vehicles and, amassing points for your team leader ( OR the highest rank leader ) to call in orbital strikes is already confirmed. [Source] So, really, the cowardly gameplay won't go away. Sure, there won't be masses of people trying to be greedy.. and will most probably use teamwork. I guarantee you the one calling in Artillery, however... will brag at some point about how well placed his orbital strike was, or possible something about my mother when i tell him " Nice one ".
I, personally, am all for Requisitionable gear, providing that it is costly to deploy, has a cooldown and comes down to a choice of sacrificing it now or holding back for when the proverbial hits the fan. From the look of things, that's exactly what Behaviour are offering us, and I'm unbelievably happy about it. Bragging about real or perceived achievements is an inevitable part of competitive gaming, or non-competitive, or Tuesdays, or waking up, or anything else you care to name. We will always find soemthing to brag to someone else about. With the rise in access to the internet, you're undoubtedly going to get those people - and they're not just relegated to the 12-year old CoD fanboi stereotype - who think saying they got down and dirty with my mum/sister/aunt/goldfish etc. is going to either annoy/upset me or put me in awe of their l337 skillz. It doesn't. I do think that we will see a massive decrease in the so-called 'cowardly gameplay' for the simple fact I doubt it's going to be as rewarding as it is in games like CoD. Also, I'm glad you liked the post
