In an instanced Battleground environment, Do you feel Eternal Crusade could benefit from either Game Winning Killcams or Killstreaks?

    If so / not, why?

Game winning Killcams..... in a game going on for at least 2 weeks. This isn't an FPS.

I see your point. What about regular killcams? Typically there's a respawn timer anyway... could be time used to view how you died?

Depends on how respawning works really. If we just respawn immediately then no or make it optional. If you have a timer for respawns then we may as well have it unless it would strain the system too much.

I'm against kill cam because it will ruin the game for you as it points out your location to everyone you kill, plus it also gives way which direction are you heading to, thus removing a big chunk of strategy from the game.

If by kill streak you mean just a small text notice when someone manages to kill 10 guys in a row(or more so it's not spammy) then sure, it should give an idea to the enemies of who's the big target on the battlefield so you can keep an eye out for him.
  6. i would like to see killcams this way:
    1. if you get executed you see the executing in a cinematic like slowmotion (it gets slowed that much that it fits your respawntime)
this would also prevent watching the sourrounding while you are dead on the ground

    2. if you get killed by a critical headshot or explosion which will not let you get into downstate
then you see a cinematic like slowmotion of yourself how the bullet/explosion kills you

since i think we will get damage direction indicators it wont be a problem at all to see which direction the bullet came from
you should also get a PS2 like kill status anywhere on the screen

I really meant the traditional CoD Killstreak, where for getting say, 7 kills in a row without dieing, you could call in a Harrier Jump Jet, for instance. However, In retrospect, This game will have something similar anyway. It's more like... requisition you gain while fighting, that you use to call in Vehicles. And your commander rank teamate will be able to call in Orbital strikes. So since this game is utilizing a resource point style system, i doubt any form of killstreak will be viable.

Which to me personally is a shame. Calling in superior firepower as a reward for good play. Also, it's good to note nearly no other shooter aside from CoD utilize either of these.

But what does Activision know, it ain't like they brought out more CoD titles lately.
  8. i think we will get no benefits from killstreaks like in CoD
maybe we will reach an archivment wich will give us something as reward
but nothing gamechanging like an orbital strike

those special skills will be more something for a high rank strikeforce leader or maybe a war council skill

Well you the traditional killstreak is just giving an announcement/bonusXP, if you meant the CoD killstreak system you should have explained it in more detail since not everyone has played CoD.

What you said is true, such a system makes little sense in a game like this. On the other hand we can adapted it as a way to limit powerful items/skills, for example it could act as a prerequisite for some powerful spells.

That's because CoD's definition of 'good' play just isn't applicable here, it doesn't make sense from an in-universe stand point either to just randomly hand out artillery because 'ShoXXXor' or whoever has killed 7 people.

They're a really poor mechanic for rewarding players and make already 'good' players over-powered, it encourages selfish and overly-cautious play styles in setting that really doesn't reflect factions constantly hiding in a corner waiting for someone to run around it.

I for one, I'm really glad they've been confined to the increasingly bland, homogenised and sub-par CoD games that seem to be filled with whiny children screaming about how they've done things to my mum I'm not even sure - not that I want to know - my dad has.
