I happen to be a fan of musical pieces written for games, my question is... What will this games soundtrack ( if any ) be based around? All in all this is a really minor issue and I apologize for bringing this up when there is much work to be done.
I'm actually not sure, I don't believe there is any information around this yet. I have faith though, every 40k game I've played since Fire Warrior had great soundtracks.
We're not ready to announce our plans yet for the music, but we want it to be bold, grandiose and of course awesome! JF
Dawn of War 2 and Gears of Waaagh would be pretty neat templates on my end. Doesn't have to be like these, but simply something which is epic or ambient as well as immersive. Something which sounds good and ADDS on to Bolter/Machine gun fire. Gotta feel good to squeeze that trigger or rush into the heat of battle!

These are actually pretty amazing pieces, thank you all very much for sharing them and not saying Go look up X on youtube. This Chaos theme in particular has me assured. Can't quite describe it, it's just right *
I'm kinda hoping that we can actually get a halo type theme that everyone really buys into. I still listen to it on occasion, and I remember the first time I heard the 2nd game's rock anthem version of it, I nearly nerdgasmed out of my pants.
This track was probably my favorite from the game. Made this part that much more epic. I love it to death. The chaos gate sound tracks sound like music made BY the 40k universe, not for it. Y'know?
tottally agree, in my opinion the Chaos Gate soundtrack is still number one. as nostramo alreday said it sounds like it is made in the 40k universe and i think this is the type of music we need in this game
Sure, sure! But I don't personally find Valkyrie run or Chaos Gate to be too viable for a multiplayer engagement or shootout. Might work for Strike Cruiser introduction and some of the more passive and singleplayer or social elements there! But those are just my thoughts!
