Seems as though all the games this week i have played is 14 or 15 eldar vs 30 CM or CSM...............i mean devs..........you should hang your heads in shame............the games should be balanced with only a slight variation. This game is going to end up as 2 factions if you dont get the balance right and the game numbers right, and that will be CS & CSM's..............then see the player base fail.
I played a game as 5 Eldar vs. 0 Orkz on Blackbolt Defense Station. As we capped the third point a single Ork showed up.... And people can refuse to join the game, given the salty nature of Eldar players lately.. I wouldn't be surprised...
I believe it is more due to number of players going down and resulting in not enough players joining a match. Queue times aren't <30 seconds at near peak time :/
I don't think I've ever had a queue go longer than a minute, usually much more around 10-20 seconds. For comparison...HOTS queue time is like...2-3 minutes for me. And that game is only making two teams of Five(granted they have a ratings system but many find it to be a joke). I think a lot of the times this happens a war party just dropped the queue or people bailed because "omg Eldar" or something. I would say that EC should switch to a confirmation before game begins system, but with 15-30 players on each side(and even higher later) there's too much risk of trolls hitting No on game start just to piss people off.
What if we could actually choose who we were fighting and only que for those matches?!?!?! Like a checkbox system filter....... Nah, too smart and most likely people will uncheck Eldar.
I still cancel all queues, when i play, against Eldar and keep clicking that cancel button till i get a non Eldar match. Sorry but im fed up with bullcrap balance and wont waste my time on stealthy melee twats.
You know,he's right. They're borderline broken in the tabletop game too. Last tournament I saw was literally 30 people with the same list, all spamming wraith knights and jet bikes and getting as much D on the board as they could. How fun. I do have to wonder what they where thinking when the selected Eldar for EC, I mean I get they're popular, but is that just not 'cause they're outright broken in TT? Even on paper they just don't work properly in shooter, honestly. Much how like Clans in Mech Warrior Online ended up nothing like what they're supposed to be like in the Battletech universe\tabletop for balance reasons, we're going to get that here too, unfortunately. It's one thing toning down power levels (Space Marines vs Fluff, Clan battlemechs vs Tabletop, in which one 'Mech was easily a match for 3-4 IS 'Mechs) and I can get that, I understand that for balance, but the way Eldar work on a fundamental level, they're supposed to be the best in each field (Or craft, I suppose) that they are a part of. That's their thang. Their weakness however - Crippling overspecialisation - is not going to work in a shooter. We can only control it with what can complete and capture objectives, not how they fight. Eldar will either end up so far removed from their intended power level\lore, or are going to end up being the butt off all claims of OP and complaining, it is unfortunately the only outcome and one other games have done multiple times before this. It's a shame, and it's exactly what Clan players had to deal with in MWO and MW4
An imperfect but possible solution to the balance part of this problem is to add damage or durability based on % present to fight.
