Here's an interesting thought that occured... Just how many puritens do we have on here? Let's say the game is out, 40 k lore, atmopshere, everything has been worked out perfectly, your character storms towards a cappoint, battle ensues and....you get killed by...Snip3rboi91. You respawn and when charging again trying to get even with Snip3rboi91 you manage to kill JBIEBmustDIE with a little help of a friendly platoon named 'tehG33ksquad' Should there be restrictions on playernames for the sake of immersion? Yes or No. motivate. I say no because eventhough I love immersion you musnt push it too far and people will always end up with the same lame playernames trying to be witty.
We all know that the idiots will use stupid names like "LulzfurSkullz" or "Bbabyjessicabeiber" just got to grit your teeth and hope they fall into plasma the hot end of a Burna. Hopefully there will be a strictly enforced naming policy as the language issues in the game will cause enough issues already. I would though like to see a naming generator so if people put a stupid name like SniperSniper or DizcoDakka then a message will pop up saying "Oi! Uze dis fing to get a better name" and it'll then produce race relevant results.
a namegenerator may prevent dumbass names. usually dumbass names come from people with little imagination just making something u in haste so they can get on and play the game. good idea.
You will just have to accept the fact that no matter what kind of limits they put on the names in this game there will always be people who choose to go with the sillier or dumber stuff. You will most likely get killed by xxXSepirothhXxx, the Eldar warlock at some point
Already a thread on this. "We disembarked from our Chimeras and stormed through a cloud of dust to be met with a hail of fire. At the base of the mound we started to climb towards our objective while shells started to fall like rain around us, Angel Squad was totally obliterated and turned into red mist. For three hours straight we battled for control of that mound. Hundreds of men lost their lives covering that area with rotting corpses and wrecked vehicles lay strewn around the battlefield, some debris like destroyed turrets rest yards away from their tanks. But it was worth it. As XxLordDarksnipes360xX planted the regimental standard of the Prismoes' 17th Mechanized Grenadiers of Derp on top of the hill, regimental pride began to course through my heart and the faintest glimmer of hope began to shine, that one day, the rest of the Imperium, will get over our stupid names."
The real question is if they have in-game voice coms like in Planetside2 If you use the in-game voice coms in PS2 everyone in the vicinity of you can hear you. So you often get guys who stand around in spawnrooms blasting ridiculous japanese pop music or something while everyone else is fighting for their lives
